Another fact about Avatar 2 is that I've literally waited half my life for this movie. I was 13 when the original premiered at the cinemas, I'm 26 now. I watched Avatar 2 last night and I can honestly say it was worth the wait. It's not a movie, it's a journey and an experience to watch. And to anyone who says they will watch it when it comes to streaming services: Don't. Watch it at the cinemas.

Avatar has been my favorite movie ever since I was a kid, ever since the first movie came out. It built my childhood and I still love it. Great video brother! I saw Avatar today in the theatre and oh boy, I can't begin to describe how good it was. It's so refershing to see it on the big screen, even though most of us have watched it a million times, haha. I can't still wrap my head around the fact that this movie was released 13 years ago, especially because of how crappy CGI has gotten ever since. Also, to whoever is going to watch the re-release, do wait for the 5+ minute glimpse of Avatar 2 towards the end. It's SOOO GOOD with the higher frame rate and newer ways to capture motion.

I saw the first part only in 2013 and regret so much not having seen it in 3D at the cinema in 2009. I've been waiting for a sequel ever since. Now, after about 11 years have passed, I already watched the second part of Avatar two times (soon going for the third) in the theatre and still can't get enough of this adventure. It's a masterpiece; 3 hours haven't been long enough honestly. It was a journey that makes you forget you're simply watching a movie. Both parts have a special place in my heart and I can't wait to see more.

Avatar: The movie franchise where world-building takes center stage, and I'm completely okay with it. 😁 No, seriously, I normally gripe about character development and stuff, but I've made an exception here because I feel like they purposefully want the world-building, cinematography, and technological innovation aspects to shine more.

Variable Refresh Rate is a very smart idea. I hate how jittery pans on landscapes can get but don't really like the smoothness of characters either. Best of both worlds.
@bFix
@bFix Жыл бұрын
@@snaplash HDMI already supports VRR (Variable Refresh Rate), DisplayPort introduced Adaptive Sync even earlier. Lots of TVs with HDMI 2.1 support added VRR support by now (the numbers will rise, since it's a nice feature for consoles right now). VFR (VariableFrameRate) has been possible with H.264 (video codec of the original bluray, but not its only codec) for a long time, though I don't know how well the support of players is (probably non-existent). Technically it should be possible to burn bluray's with a variable refresh rate video, but it would need to be standardized for the bluray. In the end: the VRR version could be limited to (certain) cinemas like the 48Hz version of the Hobbit was (afaik) Streaming might have it easier to adopt since they don't have to standardize physical media and can update their software to their own vision, as long as the hardware/TV supports it. I mean Netflix already serves the fairly new codec AV1 to the PS4 etc. That's possible because it decodes the Video in Software like a PC. Unlike Bluray-Players that probably prefer less flexible but less expensive hardware decoders.

I wouldn't say each movie is "standalone" unlike marvel seeing as you kinda need to watch avatar 1 to understand who Quaritch is, or who grace is. I think they mean "standalone" as in each movie has its own beginning, middle, and end... So it's almost exactly like most Marvel movies: it's good to watch the other movies for context, but you don't HAVE too.

Doesn't the mega deal for the budget of the next four (including avatar 2) sequels imply that Avatar 2's box office as it stands now essentially covers all four movies' budgets? If it's $250M a movie, and Avatar 2 ALONE has made over $1B, then this movie itself has already made a profit threefold. Am I wrong in my understanding here?

I'm just hoping it explains how the characters that died are coming back, and at least does so in a manner that makes sense. For instance I can understand Sigourneys character coming back cause of where she died, sorta like eywah couldn't put her in a new body so chose to have her reborn. That would make sense. As far as Stephen's character though, he died in a forest, they're was no connection for him to go to. Not only that but he didn't have an avatar body made for him. I get that the movies are supposed to be stories within themselves but if you don't have some form of continuity is gonna make the overarching story just weird. I think they should have had the corporation trying to mine the unobtainium as the enemy, giving the "its the same bad guy" idea, but letting Stephen's character stay dead since it just makes sense. He had no avatar body and even if he did without eywah he couldn't be transferred into that body, and in fairly certain he wouldn't be able to do it that way either.

Bullshit. The MCU works as standalone movies. Last MCU movie I saw was in 2011. When Infinity War came out in 2018, I watched it. Had zero idea about everything that lead up to it. Wasn't even lost. Totally fine as a standalone.

My speculations are the Na’Vi tribe’s weapons of bows and spears aren’t superior enough against Quaritch’s advanced weaponry’s and would have to take advantage on their technology that was brought to their moon/planet.

I'm really looking forward to seeing more sea creatures (Tulkun, Nalutsa, and Ilu) included as well as some of the unidentifiable sea creatures like the hammerhead looking fish in the trailer. I think it'll also be cool to see all of the new ships, submarines, and other tech that the RDA (Cet-Ops) will be using in this next film (and subsequent films).

Quick Note!: Pandora is actually not a planet, it's a moon that circles a planet the size of Saturn! :)
