Sean’s music really does “hit different.” It stirs a mixture of emotions I haven’t experienced from other music: contentment, joy, peace, and an overall feeling of OK-ness, despite the struggles we all (& likely he) face. Simply sublime. Please continue practicing your craft, for you and for all of us who your music instinctively resonates with.

Sean, you are just amazing! Hope you enjoyed your time out and that you could sort things out about how the future of your channel and Patreon will look like. You are the reason why so many of us are tempted to buy an SG with a P90. Of course you can do such beatiful things with any guitar with a single coil in the neck but since i saw you the first time on yt i wanted to have and still want to own a walnut colored sg. Tried to compensate with an Epiphone but the GAS is still knocking on the door 😂 Overall i just wanted to share these thoughts. But in the end the only thing that is important is: THANK YOU for beeing the humanbeing you are and for your music. Much Love ❤❤❤❤❤

I rarely ever comment on youtube but I feel like I have to let you know how much I appreciate your music because I want MORE. I discovered your music in 2019 when I got homeless due to mental illness and addiction. This event triggered my depression even though I was on a max dose prozac and I lost pretty much any desire to do anything, be it listening to music, playing piano and guitar (which I normally love), reading, gaming etc. I was at something similar to a homeless shelter with my own small room with my laptop, guitar and digital piano. I browsed youtube for anything interesting but everything was equally uninteresting and dissatisfying, even music I used to enjoy (which is a big variety, instrumental music/black metal/Dungeon Synth/Soundtracks, piano/guitar improvs). Anhedonia is a pretty common symptom of depression and one that stopped me from feeling anything pleasurable from the things I used to enjoy. Everything I listened to left me empty and annoyed (I found my favourite albums to be too noisy/irritating. And then I found you and was blown away by how calming and nice your music was. I have to say that I enjoy your playing much more now that I'm at a better place mentally (and physically, I have an apartment now since 2020) but the fact that I could find music I could stand whilst depressed, anxious, shocked and scared is amazing and I am incredibly grateful for the music you have created. I just got back to listening to you since the time I got homeless, and even though some of your older stuff brings back nasty memories from that time and all the shit I went through after I lost my place at the shelter, I still very much enjoy your music and the calmness and sense of safety it invokes. Yes, I associate it with negative life events - but also with literally the ONLY thing that gave me a sense of comfort (however small) when I was mentally destroyed. I did manage to get sober, get help and my own apartment but recently relapsed and now that I'm tapering and getting ready to quit for good I figured I come back to your music for some instrumental soul hugs. I'm confident I'll kick my addiction and stay clean this time, the real struggle will be with my mental health. My therapist suggests I go inpatient to a psychiatric unit I've been to many times, I really don't want to but I risk getting sectioned if I fail to manage my self-destructive behaviours in outpatient care. If I do go inpatient I want to bring your music along and I'm wondering if I can buy your music anywhere? I don't have spotify and recently stopped using a smartphone but I'd love to have you on my mp3 (I'm 29yo, not a boomer lol, just trying to limit internet use). I have to admit that I used to download your music from youtube to my old mp3 but if there is any way I can pay you for what you've given me; gimme some links plz. In the meantime, are you OK with me converting your vids to mp3 for my own use? It will just be going on my mp3 and on my PC, won't be sharing/selling your stuff. Also, please upload more and never stop playing. You are freaking amazing and very inspiring for my own piano and guitar improvs. /Hugs from Sweden.

I've said it before, but I'm still super happy that Sean hasn't drifted into a different kind of music. Too many indie artists I used to listen to have gone off the rails at some point ... Sean on the other hand sticks to playing "humble, sleepy guitar music" all the while clearly growing as an artist. Even I as someone with no musical experience can see that the loop patterns and melodies are becoming more complex with each video. Keep rocking Sean and thanks for the great music!

Yo dude! I've been following you for a while. I have seen your videos on tone and mixing. I think you don't realize this, because it seems like it's second nature to you; what makes your 'tone' unique is that you're using some kind of unique palm muting with your right hand, but only for a split second (like a harmonic) to kill (only) the attack of the note, It is very subtle, but I think this is the secret to your unique tone. this makes it sound so warm and dynamic. I have never seen this before. EVERY other guitarist I've seen is ONLY able to make his/her guitar SPEAK and SHOUT, but you can make it WHISPER, HUM and CRY aswell. Keep it up dude, you're my favourite guitar player and a big inspiration to me!
