Tbh, this was a good ending for Paul, at this point he was dead, not physically, but mentally. Before he was fighting and trying to stay alive, but at this point, he isnt weaving or searching for cover like before, hes just running without the care to survive. And when he dies, he isnt sad, he isnt scared, hes at peace and thankful that it all ended. If he survived, he would've never left the trenches, and eventually would probably have a kid that went off to fight another futile war

trust in the word of God, Matthew 7:24-27 Jesus says here, Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it. The German soldiers were people with families and didn’t want to be in the war and there are countless stories of U.S. veterans sharing their stories about coming into contact with German soldiers and them both having sympathy towards one another and moved on about their way without conflict, there were American born young men whose parents were German immigrants and moved back to Germany because Germany was saying that all true aryans should return to the fatherland and had their sons join the German army, the real Asshole who I wouldn’t piss on if they were on fire were the SS, complete monsters. Japanese were very cruel too even amongst their own people, they carried out inhumane acts of cruelty against their own people in unit 731, doing things just like the Nazi’s , infecting people with viruses and infections, freezing people alive, seeing how long it takes for someone to bleed out, how elderly do you think we know how to treat diseases and how to save people dying from fatal illnesses and injuries. The Japanese deny that this happened of course they would, that’s why general Eisenhower told his men to take as many gruesome photographs of holocaust victims so that nobody could ever say that these atrocities didn’t happen.

Movie name: All Quiet On the Easter Front. Rating: 1000/10 felt like I was actually there in the moment. EXPLANATION: So, our main character, Paul and his buddy’s, Ludwig, Franz and Albert enrolled as soldiers. Once they were accepted they were all so excited to fight for their country. When their camp was being bombed, Ludwig broke done and said “I’m sorry I didn’t think it would be like this. This is not what I imagined” then, the bunker collapsed killing Ludwig and many others. Paul was very sad but moved on with new friends like Kat. They kept on fighting the war and saw things that nobody wishes to see. So many of his comrades die and him and his friend Kat would sneak out to the farmers barn and steal geese and eggs and eat them. One day, they are once again fighting and at this point in the movie, a petition is out to be signed to end the war. Paul and his friends survived but then Albert he is fighting one day and gets shot and falls behind Paul. Franz was also separated from everyone. Paul watches as his friend Albert runs into the French and gets burned by a flamethrower and shot to death. Paul then stabs a Frenchman to death and realizes the monster he’s become. He try’s to fix it but fails and returns to camp to find everyone celebrating about the war ending soon. Paul sees kat and is overjoyed to see his friend alive. Later in the petition is finally signed and for food, Paul and Kat go out back to the farmers house and Paul goes in this time. He gets caught and manages to escape with some eggs. The farmers boy is infuriated and hunts them down without them knowing. Kat goes Into the forest to relieve himself and once he turns around, gets shot by a small bullet. He starts walking home when Paul has to start carrying him cause he collapsed. Army trucks drive by them celebrating the end of the war soon. By the time Kat is at the medic, Paul’s last friend who made him happy is concluded to be dead. Black blood, his organs were poisoned and he was shot right in the liver. Paul’s mourns his friend deeply and they are forced to go back out and fight 15 mins before the war ends. Since Paul sees nothing left he keeps running deeper into enemy territory with no fear of what’s to come. He saves a young soldier battling a Frenchman and as him and the Frenchman fight, they fall into a bunker where they just stare at each other until suddenly Paul gets stabbed in the chest by another Frenchman at 10:59. The war ended at 11:00. Paul died from his wound but didn’t want help. He was at peace and knew it was all over. *I know I missed some stuff and the other friend who stabbed himself to death with a Fork and everything abt him but it’s late and I don’t feel like looking. I know this isn’t everything abt the movie but mostly the key parts leading up to Paul’s death. Thanks for reading!❤*

"На западном фронте без перемен". Не смотрела фильм, но сразу поняла о чем речь, потому что читала книгу. Такое мрачное и опустошенное лицо, умирающее внутри. Я никогда не забуду эту книгу.

This may be really heartbreaking that the main character died and all the others dying in that war but no. They can have peace now, now that they have died and not be in the war where they are seeing everyone die infront of them.

The poor young man in this film was already lifeless so even if by some chance he survived, it's not guranteed he'd lived a perfect life. He'll suffer the aftermaths of the war such as ptsd and scars of injuries that didn't heal properly and won't heal anymore. To die was the perfect ending for him and he won't get to see the younger generations and maybe his own offsprings, 3 decades after the ww1 enter another war again. The perfect tragic but bittersweet ending suited for someone of his character that went through hell.

I hate the France soldier that killed the MC right before the cease fire, he was stabbed right through the heart a little less than from what I remember and guess about 20-15 seconds before the cease fire The soldier that killed him from behind didn’t even give a single shit that the man he just killed could’ve been alive if he didn’t make that stupid decision Peace was just some seconds from arriving and he stabbed an unarmed man through the heart with little remorse Although it’s a movie I still hate that scene because none of us know that amount of real soldiers who fought in that war that died in those last seconds of the forsaken hell But really it was probably best that he’d died because if not he would’ve have’n to remember all the moments his friends died right in front of him 1 was killed after losing a leg during mortar fire Another dead from being burned alive even after surrender Another from stabbing himself with a fork not wanting to be alive as an amputee Another died in his arms from being shot And the others he never saw after they were split up He also would’ve have to live with all the moments where he killed a enemy right in front of him then see then suffer in agony to death War is hell nothing less nothing more, not that I’d know from experience so I wouldn’t have any room to talk but for all of those who died we should forever pay respects to them

Just two minutes before the Armistice ended hostilities at 11 a.m. on November 11, 1918, Pvt. Henry N. Gunther, of the 79th Infantry Division's 313th Infantry Regiment, was shot and killed in France as he charged a German roadblock in the village of Chaumont-devant-Damvillers near Meuse.
