I am a Malayalam settled in the US and have gently tried to correct some of my friends in what I knew to be long-learned errors in pronunciation and have had some resistance to my efforts. Not many people take kindly to such corrections. Some questions asked are like: “Why correct at all? Why now? How do we even know the way you say these words are indeed the correct pronunciations?” It is time though for us to get these words right. I have witnessed some of our well-educated professionals also having to repeat things before native English speakers because of the accent that has been learned wrong/taught wrong over the years. We should blame the Malayalam daily news papers. They write the word Police as "pOleese" in malayalam. If these vernacular print media of Kerala write these words in a proper way/correct way, ,people will naturally / definitely speak it right!!

Where was English first spoken? In England (Britain) So I think the British English is more correct. The American English is a mixed language, what I mean ,some people from England had gone to America and talked to the local ones and they replied in their slang. Don't you think so? Of course your class is very good n effective, but I doubt how far a common man can read the phonetics symbols. If One video class may be on that it'll be highly useful.

It doesn’t matter if British English is different than American English. It is like the saying when u r in Rome act like Roman. In this side of the world trying to survive and have a better job, we have to be 150% better than them in skills and prove to the North American’s to be respected and offered that job. By speaking somewhat close to their accent is one big huddle out of the way and get you close to that job prospect. Talking from experience.

Med. School ചേർത്തു. പക്ഷേ ഇവിടെ നിന്ന് കിട്ടുന്ന training പക്കയല്ല. സമയ കുറവ്, Students എണ്ണം ഇതൊക്കെ കാരണമാവാം. ഞാൻ teacher നോട് ഇതിനെക്കുറിച്ചു സുചിപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നു. Tr പറയുന്നത് കൂറെ കഴിഞ്ഞാൽ ശരിയാകുമെന്നാണ്. ഈ Answer എനിക്കു തൃപ്തികരമായി തോന്നുന്നില്ല. ഈ age ൽ വേഗം catch ചെയ്യാൻ അവൾക്ക് കഴിയുന്നതാണ്. ഞാൻ ഇതിനു വേണ്ടി എന്തു ചെയ്യണം?

Still it's wrong. Check the pronunciation of each word in Google you can see that there are three option, one is British and another is US and the third one will be Indian. check the Indian pronunciation and you will find the pronunciation is the same mass mention in this video

English people mispronounce all our town name like Alappuzha, Kollam , Thiruvananthapuram etc Why can't we mispronounce few English words Ok to show our English knowledge we must understand correct pronunciation Nothing great , Nothing wrong

Agree with you , Go ahead bro I am an English professional. I wrote like that because many people are giving too much importance for the above subject. If you read books like " Black Man White Mask, Orientalism etc you will get my point No doubt you are doing a wonderful job, Go ahead and do well
