The instrumental is called “La Villa Strangiato” originally on Hemispheres. The best version is the live rendition on Exit Stage Left or you can watch them perform it live in a 1978 video on KZbin.

While I agree that the ESL version is great, I’ve always preferred this rendition myself. Alex’s solos just crush on this version. Plus he nails that pinch harmonic at the of Monsters! section so perfectly.

The false "good night" is a regular feature of Rush shows. They'd "finish", leave the stage, let us scream and clap for a few minutes, then come back out and do another 15 minutes or so.

This part always ticked me off. In the others you get to hear Alex be so much fun. I have yet to find any recording where you get to hear what he says there . Thanks for doing this. Great concert to watch. keep up the good work

The warning message at the beginning of La Villa Strangiato was actually a joke. Often Alex would rant with some nonsensical ramblings but in the case of this show the feed from his mic to the recording gear was inadvertently turned off during this song so no audio was recorded. They thought it would be funny to include the radioactive disclaimer.

"In The Mood" was the last song, and it's a sample of what you will enjoy on their debut album< RUSH, from 1974. P.S. It's the only album that did not feature Neil Peart on drums. John Rutsy was on the drum kit for this 1st album but was replace by Neil for the the subsequent tour that followed. The rest is history!🚀🚀🚀.

If you want to listen to, in my opinion, to the best Rush live concert audio... Try and find ''Different stages''. The set list is AMAZING and almost 3 hours long and each song is played to it's very best. I've seen Rush 21 times live and this is it!!!!! It would be fun to see you react to it but I know it's a bit long for a video...Maybe in a live stream ?

The producers wanted them to just puppet it off a track and RUSH said, “Nah.. we’ll just perform it live in 1 take for the video... no audience”! Gotta be next on your list!! Take care!
