Question, can you use «в шоке» to describe the physical condition?

Yeah, it can be used in that way. But maybe if you actually mean someone in deep shock of something (like a trauma or an accident, тьфу-тьфу), it's quite better to use "в шоковом состоянии" (in a shocked condition) or "эта новость травмировала его" (he got traumatized by this news) or if a person is beside him/herself because of shock, almost altered - I think "в состоянии аффекта" (in condition of affect) is a good universal one. Also there are some curse or slang words (ошарашен, сбрендил, осел, выпал в осадок, ёбнулся, поехал крышей) to describe these, but they must be used/read accurately according to the context. These expressions are important to learn and yet explaining the meaning too long is irritating. Of course we know what it means being disappointed or worried. Best to repeat SLOWLY the pronunciation 3 times and continue.
