It would have enhanced my life incredibly if I had grown up with such rules. Most of the struggles I experienced as a young adult and adult were as a result of a lack of structure and discipline as a child. I applaud Prince William and Duchess Kate for raising their children in such a loving and caring way, these children will always remember their parents as clam and loving parents who showed them a beautiful life outdoors, and will respect the rules given them. That to me is what I consider a 'Fairy Tail Life'! My Grand Daddy told me this often... 'Live, by Learning all you can. Laugh like you haven't a care in the world. Be a friend that you would want with you always by your side. Love deep and long as if that person was the last person in your life. Care each day like it were your last day on earth, and you will then have strength, and purpose to go forward to live your life to the fullest!' (Professor Henry Campbell Nolley~Old Dominion University~ Norfolk, Virginia~) I grew up in Petersburg, Virginia USA. I am now a Grand Mother 65 years old and I have passed down what my Grand Daddy told me to my children and my grand children. The Grands as I call them range in age as: Young Man 19 years old, Young Lady 17 years old, two are 15 years old's Young Man and Young Lady separated by six months and cousins, and the youngest, our Little Lady 6 years old going on 60!. I had to laugh at the statement “No baby food for babies” being drastic. The kids in our family ate the same as us. It might have to be mashed with a fork, maybe a little milk added to make a puree when they were very young, but there is no reason to spend hundreds of pounds on baby food in tins if you eat a healthy diet.

Royals don't have to work 8 or more hrs per day, commute through traffic, get the kids to daycare, pick them up etc., etc., etc. They are not living a normal life, no matter how many short video clips show them smiling happily.

@@jolenejones6243 Their lives are scrutinized and their every move watched. Just look at all the criticism about Prince Louis at the Jubilee and his parents. No one would want their child spoken of like he has been. The stresses they face in life are far different from what we face. I don't know about you, but there are days that I just don't feel like smiling , waving and graciously engaging with people I don't know. I had a rather public career from which I retired after 30 years. Don't get me wrong, it was what I wanted to be when I grew up since the sixth grade and I was blessed to be able to follow my dream, however there is something to say about relative anonymity! I worked hard and did the best I could. Was every move and moment, second by second perfect? Of course not! I am grateful though that any missteps in my career or home life have not been broadcast around the world and commented on by thousands or millions of people that I don't even know and who don't know me! It would be nice to have their comforts, but I wouldn't want to be in their shoes! Many blessings, Jolene! May life be kind and gentle to you and may all your dreams become realities.

Taking care of babies and children is hard work. They are lucky they have servants to handle most of the other chores that regular mothers have to do on top of taking care of the kids, like cooking, cleaning the house, laundry, grocery shopping, car maintenance and other daily errands. Because even if you have someone doing all that, raising children is still challenging.
