Rich is your stash of cash that *must* be replenished after it is spent. Wealthy is based on passive income that always comes in regardless of whether you are sleeping, vacationing, or whatever. Rich is replenished by wealthy passive income. Passive income *must* exceed your expenses to be wealthy.

#3 is also that feeling when letting things, people, and/or responsibilities go that are anchors to your foot, that can stop you going forward. After my break up + leaving my expensive apartment + my pets are being taken care of by my parents (2 cats) + getting rid of fake friends = the beginning of freedom. Now I'm free to do anything I want, whenever, wherever, whatever, however, for whatever reason. Which may be a problem if you aren't disciplined enough. I've been so free that I got comfortable without thinking. But shortly realized it and got back to developing my business. Life is good now.

A channel or a video? No one's being put down. This video only gives *signs* as reflected in the title. What this video does is touch the nerves of those who wish they were richer, but aren't due to a variety of things such as lack of knowledge or laziness. Everybody has the opportunity to better themselves and self-educate in whatever way they choose. Yes, I see envy in a lot of the people on this comment board. Your comment tells me that you've never made or had much money to begin with...that's how it sounds, anyway. And using the phrase "people with a functional brain" makes you guilty of doing the very thing you accuse this channel of doing.
@GrnXnham

Most of this video is good but the comments about the rich appreciating expensive art and expensive food at restaurants are nonsense. Rich people are as varied as the rest of the population. Many rich people don't give a rats ass about art and would rather eat at McDonalds than go to an expensive restaurant. This idea that rich people are all cultured and sophisticated is a false view of the rich that poor people have because it's been perpetuated by pop culture.

Money buys you opportunities and better choices, which contributes to happiness. Unfortunately, there are a ton of things that money won't buy. If you are terminally ill and there is nothing that doctors can do for you, having tons of money cannot buy you another life. If a loved one has passed away, money can buy you distractions but your loved one is still dead. Money can buy you fake friends and moochers, but it cannot make anybody genuinely care for you. I could go on and on.

My friend and her family don't even have a car or a TV, but they are the sweetest, most loving and selfless family I know. Her dad helps and works with homeless people in our town and her mom is a kindergarten teacher. My friend is such an important person in my life, she's humble and selfless. Often I see her giving the little she has to those in need. I would rather have a family like this than just have high numbers on my bank account. If money is all you have, you are indeed poor.

Boa: oh no, not butthurt in the least. I'm just sick and tired of people who do nothing but piss and moan about people who have wealth when the opportunity is there for anyone willing to get off their ass and earn it, not make it sound like if they aren't wealthy or rich, no one should be. If THAT isn't narcissistic, I don't know what is. Rather than bemoan one's poverty, do something about it: one should seek out rich and wealthy people and ask them if they'd be willing to coach and mentor you and ask them what they did to get rich and wealthy and emulate them. There's NOTHING wrong with trying to better yourself in whatever way you choose. Making money and getting wealthy is NOT a zero-sum game. Nope, not "butthurt" at all.

Alux family. I didn't think this video would apply to me but it's an eye opener, again. While I'm financially poor and my life could do with improvements, I do actually act rich about certain things. I got into debt by having a single income stream and trying to change jobs. I got into more debt by having an accountant that was playing the tax system and got hit with surprise corporation tax. I try to keep afloat and avoid bankruptcy by moral standard of my own. I was thinking to get another loan to start some of the ideas I have but instead now I want to save for a whole year and try to train myself in constraint and not buying pretty things

A bit of perspective.... At one point he was unemployed and living hand to mouth during a recession, but feeling a bit down about having very little money. When I came into my basement flat, my keys and any copper change went into a large ashtray by the front door. So i’m Listening to the radio, and a programme about relative wealth came on, and said that if you have loose change of any type saved up in a jar or something similar, you are amongst the richest 8% of the world’s population. Kinda got me sitting back and realizing my situation could be a shitload worse.

I'm not sure if you are preaching to the poor so they will be inspired to become rich, or you are preaching to the rich so they will feel good about themselves? You have a philosophy which is steeped in "The American Dream" which requires being self-reliant, independent, hard working, industrious, tenacious, sensible and forward thinking. "Real wealth is having brains, and a heart that allows you to use them"

My mother always taught me.... It's not so much how much money you have, it's HOW you spend the money you do have! If you fritter money away..... smoking, drinking, gambling,..... paying interest on credit cards etc. etc. Then you have no one to blame but yourself. You are just making others rich..... very rich.

I got rich by accident, or more accurately whilst I wasn't really looking.. I always had a high paying ,CFO, job. I bought three houses, one in Worcestershire, one in Canary Wharf (London's new financial district) and a farmhouse in France. One day I looked around and decided I didn't want to do this for another 20'years. I sold the two houses in England, moved to France, pocketed the cash and, together with my pension fund, I "retired". I hadn't truly realised that I was rich, so close was my nose to the grindstone, but I had been investing all along. Now I spend a couple of hours a day managing my investments....and only wear a suit for births, marriages and funerals.

Of the several companies I created, I learned that the REAL quotient of "richness" is realizing that the real tool to achieve richness is ALWAYS within you! Gimmicks may look good, but the thing that brings self-confidence is failing, and finding you still have all the tools to rebuild what was lost (and usually you'll recover plus more), AND you don't dwell on the "loss" but get busy on the recovery!

Whilst I dine at a restaurant I must admit I don't concern myself with prices, because I walk into the establishment with a general idea of how much I'm expecting to spend and know I'm covered even if it goes double. Instead I weigh my choices based on what I'm in the mood for and how much I think I'll be able to eat. My favorite is the wine list, though I always choose a hearty merlot or the closest to it.

WHOA. I've had your videos just playing in the background for days now, but #10 in 15 Signs You Are Rich STOPPED ME DEAD IN MY TRACKS. I've generally appreciated the perspective your videos offer. I've found them insightful and accurate, resonating with me some of the ideas and themes that have also been highlighted to myself on my journey to pursuing my own entrepreneurial aspirations. *****************However, I think it is irresponsible of such a generally wise voice such as "Alux" to nourish such a toxic, thoughtless and selfish view on taxation.***************** As a self-employed entrepreneur, I agree that it hurts to pay tax on anything I've earned on my own, stemming from my own investments of my own hard-earned money. I just happen to also recognize that I am freely utilizing infrastructure that was laid down before I ever showed up, as well as education and opportunities that not everyone is offered. I was fortunate to have been born into circumstances that had enough for myself to thrive, but not everyone is. So whether I worked tirelessly for my wealth or not, it's taxation should be looked at much more positively (albeit constantly and routinely scrutinized, and kept accountable with measurable performance improvement metrics). I really enjoy replaying your video on "15 Steps to Master Self Discipline." You first step of "Find a Goal" made me think on my business idea taking off, and I appreciated the steps that followed, and how they encourage I deconstruct the goal, and why it even matters. For myself, one of my reasons I generally hope for success, is so I can find myself in the absolute highest tax bracket possible. Like Warren Buffett, I'l happily encourage more appropriate, more effective, more efficient taxation of our world's wealth. Such taxation will only help make the world a much more stable environment. A well-founded society--administered cost-efficiently and cost-effectively--would undoubtedly lead to a breeding ground for even more successful people to follow. This, of course, would lead to more wealth, more taxation, more societal improvements.... .... and hence, a larger pool of successful people. DO NOT MISUNDERSTAND ME. I definitely encourage scrutinizing how people are taxed, and how much. I encourage tax accountants highlighting tax exemptions that one is actually eligible for. Those exemptions are there for specific reasons. I DO NOT encourage tax manipulation or tax evasion. I simply encourage JUST taxation. I do hope you reconsider your views on taxation. Thank you for your work, Alux.

For the cost of living in Vietnam, they are consider wealthy. They even spent a hundred dollar which is like 2,300,000 vnd for a breakfast. But after they moved here, all of their money only enough for buying a small mansion in an urban area. So even though you may be wealthy in one country and become like everyone else in another country.
