In the philippines, those dried fish here is called "bulad or tuyo" and we fry them before we eat them. So good, and can save u alot of money if ur a college student here.

For the Apple Juice, there's a small white plastic cap just on top of the metal cap. That's the reusuable cap. We drank a whole bottle of this yesterday and it was super tasty.

Martinelli's sparkling apple cider is like this -- with the plastic white cap on top. If you want something similar to the apple juice in the vid, try Martinelli's in America. It's carbonated, but very fresh tasting, and much much cheaper than US$13.

We do have variety, we're just bored with it. Japan has rice crackers and weird drinks, but so do we. We have lots of different kinds of chips/crisps, and so many kinds of beverages. But we've been around them all our lives.

I love these videos so much! As a white suburban Australian kid I always found Asian supermarkets to be like a magical portal to another much more exciting world than the one I lived in and would buy anything and everything just to try it - just like this. Twenty something years later and I’m still doing it and wishing I could travel to Singapore or Japan or anywhere really. Hopefully we can all be vaccinated and back on planes before the end of this year!

The reuseable top is actually that white plastic cap that’s on top the metal cap when you open the wrapper! It snaps onto the top to keep it fresh :)! I drink a lot of apple drinks like that, and I notice the big bottles always have a plastic cap to reclose it ( most brands ). I hope that helped! Im going to search for a milk drink similar lol it looked so goood!

One store in Shibuya (their biggest one) occupies an entire building just for them for the sheer number of variety of things they have

I'd sooner eat the sardines than the squid tentacles. I eat calamari, sure, but not all naked and rubbery like that. To me it's just chewy and flavorless.

We have a dish here that is similar with the dried sardine. It is usually cooked first by pan frying or by grilling. It is best eaten as breakfast with sunny side up eggs and fried rice. Sometimes it is also mixed into soups for extra umami flavor.

In South Africa we also have the same type of dried fish snack, it is a Mullet which they then salt and dry, when it is ready you peel off the skin and only eat the flesh. We don't eat the head, bones, fins and tail. It's almost like jerky, just fish. In Afrikaans we call it a bokkom, and it is usually sold in a bunch of 5 or 6.
