Everytime I have shared what I do for my husband, I have gotten attacked. People even said that if I have to do ANYTHING for him to make him happy that I should dump him amd take my kids elsewhere. Which is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. Its like this generation thinks that marriage is about the person doing everything for them and them never returning the favor. I dont understand it. I honestly feel sad for those people. They will never know the wonders of the depth of love two people can have who serve and love eachother.

Explains the hate and divorces in this world today. My grandparents were married over 50 years and in love. They did everything for eachother and the people complaining about them were all divorced or unhappy with their partner.
@RTCPhotoWork6 жыл бұрын
There are a lot of people who have dealt with only abusive people or who have only had generally bad/wrong for them relationships. When they hear an individual speak of serving their partner, it hits this nerve in them about all THEY did and how they "got nothing in return." It's more about projecting than simply the human want to be served. That is definitely in there too, but we miss that people with that reaction are hurting people with unresolved issues. People use their own lives as a filter for everything they see and hear. People tend to be one-track minds in that they assume they have been given the complete picture, so if a video talks from one side then the scenario described MUST BE one-sided.
@spookycat00016 жыл бұрын
It's that "happy wife, happy life" mentality. It's like we as wifes are not supposed to cater or do things for our husbands without others saying "wow he must be lazy" or "you deserve better" bullshit. It takes two to tango, it also takes two to make a marriage work. I like all the small things she mentions that her husband does for her. It makes me think, realize and appreciate what my husband does more for me, because sometimes realizing what our husbands do on a daily basis gets clouded when we as wifes are feeling stressed of overwhelmed... I'm like trying to think of a rhyme that goes with "happy marriage" or "happy spouses/partners" equals happy life haha 😂

Our society is so toxic, many women automatically load their guns the second they hear a female could POSSIBLY be kind to a man let alone their husband. God forbid there are women mature enough to put their life-long partner before themselves for once. If a man says anything about a woman's clothing or makeup girls flip their tables. But woman can't resist complaining about guys hair or clothing or their weight but that's seen as perfectly fine. You just keep ignoring the hate :) Kindness has obviously gotten you further in life than bitterness. Never take advice from feminatzis when their anger only reflects how sad their lives are. They act like you're the slave when your happier, lovelier and healthier than any of them.

I liked your comment and am on the same page as you, but I feel hurt by the term "feminazi" you used, because I do believe that we should all be treated equal and have the same opportunities in life. Feminism is for everyone and it should never exclude kindness.

I'm sorry I wasn't talking about Feminism as a whole. "Feminatzi" was my way of just addressing the toxic ones in the community (and there are a ton more than their used to, they out-number you guys). Feminism isn't what it used to be and it makes me cringe even more when I see them trying to force people under a label. But I admire the sane ones sticking through it to make a legit difference and teach girls to stand up for themselves. *Edit:* anyways I wasn't trying to generalize all of you because know there are some hardworking feminists with a real cause like domestic abuse. but your getting drowned out by girls complaining about men holding doors open for them and tampons not being free.

I'm a very old fashioned type of girl and like the thought of a 1950's house wife. I feel like I would have probably fit in more back than. People are so negative nowadays and its completely uncalled for!! I am very independent, I was raised by a single mom and was also was told by my dad not to have to rely on a man. My mom still tells me that to this day. I am no where near a feminist, by no means at all. I do have a mans job, I have a welding degree and am working on my second industrial degree, but would love to be a house wife and stay at home mom. Just because I would love that and I feel that would be my duty as a wife and mom. I love watching your videos! You show your true heart and you show your faith! and I respect that! Both my husband always feel guilty doing things on our own, its always like "damn, I wish I saw/did this with my husband/wife" etc, its just not the same. If ur in a healthy marriage you will be fine. On a similar note, the only thing I absolutely KNEW i wanted to be growing up was being a mother and I knew that hopefully if i could "get kids out of the way" while im young and hopefully stop having kids at age 32 was my preference for many reasons; energy, being able to "grow up" with them in a sense etc. And tbh, luckily I did choose to get married young because it took us 4+yrs of trying to conceive and we found out the day before we started IVF, so I cant imagine how I wouldve taken it being married around say 30yrs old and having to experience infertility later in life (and we all know we have a handful of eggs only >

If you are in a happy, loving relationship, then go for it girl, you do you! The whole point is to be happy. I'm not Sarah, but one piece of advice I could give: communication is key!! If you have a disagreement or fight, neither one of you should walk away angry. Talk it out until you come to an agreement, even if you agree to disagree. Treat each other with love and respect, and realize that your partner is a reflection of your self, and you both should be treated like so. If one treats the other like crap and you're not happy, then some questions need to be asked. But if yall are both happy, then keep going! The only people who have problems with your choices are those who are insecure about their own. (Unless he treats you like crap and your not happy, then take their advice... but it doesn't seem to be so)

When I watched your last wife talk video I read the title and thought: oh no this girl is gonna tell us we should be a slave to our husband and serve him and always obey him yada yada... And I was pleasantly suprised by your video. You gave me a lot of good information on how to help my marriage that is, quite frankly, not doing the greatest. So I dont know how anyone had a problem with it, because it Definately has helped me see that maybe I'm not being the wife I should be, and maybe that has a lot to do with why I didnt think he was being the husband he should be. I think both these videos were incredibly helpful. I feel like the stigma around marriages these days have women thinking their husbands arent good enough. We need to start focusing more on being the best spouse we can be instead of thinking "oh my husband isnt good enough, I deserve more". Of course everyone deserves a spouse who loves and respects them and helps in building and maintaining the family dynamic. I just see a lot of women sort of getting their noses in the air about it, me being one of them. I am Definately working on that.

I find that in me doing nice things out of love for him it makes it more difficult to get frustrated with the little annoyances. I think it could be worse every time I pick up socks or the multiple cups in our room. When I do this it makes me appreciate him more and then in turn he appreciates me doing these things. When it is a circle like that it is so wonderful being married. ❤️

I’m glad you uploaded this video, I read the comments in the previous one and I really hated to see the negativity. I definitely understand where it was coming from, but I can appreciate your honesty and positivity. It is so easy to get resentful and cynical (happened to me to me in my marriage), and especially easy to “blow you off” being so young and fresh in your marriage, and even though I could easily do that too, after what i experienced, I think having your outlook and the foundation in God that you do is awesome. Its how God designed marriage to be and in today’s world it’s easy to forget what that perfect vision was. My husband and i divorced but if we had been focused the way you are on really protecting our marriage the way God intended it, maybe we wouldn’t have divorced. It’s great to be in unity and in the same page. It sounds to me like yours and your husbands love languages are very well matched and I’m sure you both had great examples in your parents, and that’s great. I hope your marriage stays strong and you don’t lose that faithfulness and giddiness over your husband. Don’t let the devil turn you cynical!

People who threw hate at you probably didn't understand the video. I think it was obvious that your love was mutual, and that you weren't the only one to serve him while he didn't do anything in return. I'm proud to see that you never let the hate go to your head and addresses things calmly and maturely, you're a real role model! :3

Looks like you guys have a great relationship, and what a great example to other husbands around he must be. I watched both the videos and have to say you're on the good way to even stronger and amazing marriage. My husband and I are married for 10 years now and we always have things to work on and towards but I'm glad we have Jesus, don't know what would we do without Him ❤️🙌

This video really spoke to me Sarah... I LOVE how you are a Godly and Christian young woman, a mom, and a wife and aren't afraid to say it! I love hearing your opinions on everything and listening to you talk. You are so wise and full of compassion and such a beautiful love for people. I'm dating my boyfriend right now and we've committed to waiting until marriage to be intimate so we can experience the full blessing of it. It's been hard, but watching videos like this makes me realize that all the waiting and the excitement and anticipation is going to be SO worth it!! You inspire me! I'm praying for your entire family. Love you beautiful!! Thank you for allowing yourself to be on the social media chopping block so you can impart wisdom into those that need it. You truly are a beautiful woman inside and out.

Love this! Loved your wife one too. You have no idea how much you bless me with your love for Christ. Hubs and I were talking about how much time we spend on youtube and that we could benefit from going without it, and I told him I would unsubscribe from literally everyone, but YOU. I wish we could be friends, because you encourage me in Christ so much.

@Sarah Therese I totally feel you! I just listened your previous video on 10 Thing You Do for him. I am in a relationship for about 4 years with the Light of My Life as I like to call him 🤣🤪 and this is the single mature relationship I ever had as I just realised that I instictively did every thing that you talked about. And I see how much all of that helps him grow both as a person and as a man.♥️♥️

Been subscribed to this channel for like 3 months came into my feed bc of Ashlynne Eaton who is a minimalist. Most of the content I watched here was contemporary and new content. But this and the what wives should do for their husbands are my total faves. Hadn't gone back to older videos but these are golden in 2021. Been married since fall 2018 after 10 years together with my high school sweetheart. We are a little older, 29...and about to start trying to bring children into our family. Love this channel but particularly these two videos.

Hi Sarah, there is no doubt in my mind that God has you here on social media for a reason. And as long as your husband and you have prayed about the type of content you put out here, you should feel comfortable, confident and secure in what topics you share with us your followers, fans, friends whatever the case may be. Keep doing what God is telling you to do and you can't go wrong. People's opinions matter. Understanding their replies are so difficult through a text/email. I believe that when you are trying to "help" someone with any topic, you will have your haters. But I feel that you are planting seeds, good positive seeds that at some point in those lives will take hold and grow!!!! You keep doing what your doing....your on God's side and that's all that matters!!!! ❤

Facts and it really annoys me wheh she gets hate for doing stuff for her husband abd loving her husband and I'm sure she got a lot of hate on this video because it will have people saying well u don't do anything for your husband when she literally posted that video before this. This society is a joke where people do not respect each other anymore.

my husband told me about the language of love and I think it's so helpful for couples to realize that maybe your spouse doesn't know every little thing you want but they have their own way of showing you how much they love you and with communication you can have a happy and long lasting marriage 💕

The people who 'hated' what you do for your husband are not likely to ever build a lasting marriage. Marriage is not about fairness but giving your all. Good on you for loving your husband the best that you can!

I think som of the reasons people reacted to the last video was the title. "10 tinges EVERY wife NEEDS to do for her husband" makes it come across way different than how the video really was intended. You made it clear in the video that it is what you do to your husband, but the title made people think differently. At least thats what I thought about it. Definitely a great video with a message many people could learn from! Maybe just an unlucky title on the first video :)

I can see how some people with “modern” beliefs about male/female dynamics may take issue with the content of your wife talk series, but I think what’s throwing people off is the word “serve.” If they could just see through the vocabulary they would see that you have some really mature ideas about what it means to have a strong partnership in your relationship, and it is truly amazing to see this kind of thinking in a couple as young as yourselves. I wish I could have learned those lessons sooner in life so I could have had more productive relationships in my life.

I am 24 and not married but have been in a relationship for over a year and it's so crazy because I am a lot like you in the way of being too honest for my own good and hurting people when not meaning to whereas my partner, he is the complete opposite he is so laid back and chill and I feel he really balances me with that and even me on him because he is so laid back he doesn't always stand up for himself when he knows he should so I balance him on that too and I try and do that in a calming way and even though we have only been together for a year we have not had a single fight we talk about whatever is on our minds, we talk about our future together and our goals not just as a couple but individually too and we really celebrate each others goals and i don't know if it's because it's still quite new in the relationship but I am willing to keep going because I love him

I don't think I've ever commented on any of your videos, but your "10 Things for my Husband" vid was the first one I'd seen and I remember reading all the negative comments thinking "wow there are a lot of bitter women here that aren't married or in a healthy serious adult relationship!" We're in our first year of marriage and everything you had said was SPOT ON for basic healthy marriage maintenance from the feminine side. We had a rough start for various reasons and I started really implementing your suggestions and it's made a HUGE improvement in our relationship and bonded us closer into a loving team. Thanks for sharing! I'm liking this Wife/Family Maintenance series!
