Oh, really? Tell me about all the great career choices they have! And even if they have "a choice"- this does not give us, the companies or anyone the right to treat them badly, exploit them, let them die in unhuman conditions with no insurance and no rights, just to satisfy our ungrateful egos. This is a very ignorant comment, in my opinion. I highly recommend you to watch "The True Cost" on Netflix. Come back afterwards and tell me if you think about it the same.
@josiahbvevo7 жыл бұрын
I've seen The True Cost before. By 'choice', I mean, to work or not to work. In a county where the population exceeds the number of jobs available, the 'Job Market' will show its true colors. Plus if there were no MNCs in countries like Bangladesh and so on, their condition would be much worse off than, say, Somalia. Now you tell me how, in the absence of these companies, these people would have a better life living off of the small crumb of the pie that they have.

Being a billionaire, doesn't mean you have ton of money on your swimming pool, your company can be valued billion dollar, yet your company struggling with money, Why? Because that billion dollar is not cash, its a stock, its billion on paper only, You need to sell your company to get that billion

Real luxury is lifestyle not clothing. One of the richest guys in the world wears the same thing everyday but people still try to chase luxury by buying clothes from Zara or H&M. Not to mention supporting the second most polluting industry. But if y'all wanna get poorer while Ortega and friends make profits, by all means go ahead.

Gabrielle Williams People like Bill Gates or Mark Zuckaberg probably wear clothes from H&M or ZARA because it's relatively cheap compared to buying a Gucci suit or buying Bags from Louis Vuitton.I mean 15$ for a jacket that looks just like one from another luxury brand with the same quality.
@gabriellewilliams61337 жыл бұрын
I just find it ironic how Ortega has the fast fashion market dominated (which revolves around always buying trends) when he never does and profits off those who do. Also sometimes the more expensive brands do have better quality BUT the massive price increase does have a lot to do with the brand itself.

Number one, they exploit and underpay their garment workers to get you clothes you 'deserve' that you'll probably throw away after a couple of wears because the quality is in the most part sub-par (deliberate obsolescence), and have no control over illegal sub-contractors who almost always take up excess workload when the commissioned factories can't make the fast turnarounds required by fast fashion. Number two, the 12,000 new designs every year leave you in a permanent state of dissatisfaction because newer is better so your possessions aren't good enough. Number three, the fast fashion cycle Zara employs relies on inefficient means of goods transportation, like environment destroying planes to get garments around the world from design to patterning and test to quality control to dye sampling to fabric to manufacture to warehouse to store in a matter of only 3-6 weeks, rather than using lengthy but less harmful freight shipping. Number four, if you want to build your billions by exploiting hundreds of thousands of vulnerable female garment workers in countries where they have no other choice and destroying the environment at the same time, who cares because you've got a huge fuck off yacht and eat diamonds for breakfast. Great plan. (I've done all my university research on this but I really cba to write out a full alternative 15 points on it but go check out Fashion Revolution if you're interested)

Their clothes are pieces of sh*t, wash it once they become ragged, the fabric gets crumbles etc. Almost all of their clothes are made out of cheap synthetic materials and in my opinion when watching the material percent tag the price isn't justified if a sweater made entirely out of polyester is around 50-60euros. I'd rather buy from a good high end brand that will last me long, feels comfortable and lets my skin breathe than any Zara crap. If I want cheap clothes that are also priced according to the fabric, I'd go to HM or New Yorker.

Wow, is this a paid advert for Zara?!? This list did not even cover them stealing all their designs from the research and hard work of other respectable brands and artists (this is how they save money, and why they don't need to advertise!), their exploitation of unpaid workers, their outstanding legal battles, their awful quality of work with clothing that falls apart after one wear and cannot be washed, materials that are inorganic and horrendous for the environment, and their HUGE contributions to landfills with 85% of all landfill waste coming from global fast fashion giants like Zara (for perspective that's 81.5 pounds (or 37 kilograms) per person PER YEAR into landfills). How anyone can support them is unfathomable...

Zara is only made for one body type. Slim people. That sucks. They have muscular men that enjoys there styles but can't wear em. Why target one body type?

It doesn't mention anything about the corruption in that industry. The owner is the richest criminal in the world because he enslaves his workers.

Zara isn't that affordable. At least in Holland it's really expensive and a lot of people here think the same. For example a shirt is like 30 euro's. H&M is way more affordable.

I love Zara, I always buy clothes there and I was never disappointed ! even the cheap clothes are good quality (cheap: under 20€). The only things that I don't really like are the models, they make weird poses and faces, BUt the stuff is so good #shopaholic !
