Defense defensive enforcer. Doesnt have to be fast just fast enough to meet up with dirty player sometime in the game. Fever needs a threat to counter dirty play before Clark gets seriously hurt. Torn ACl or Achilles tendon when there's no safe place to land. Broken nose needing surgery from forearms across her face. Another burst ear drum causing vertigo constant vomitting loss of balance. Broken ear drum has to be deliberate. Blindside tackles at a full run mid court. If the Refs won't call the dozen Flagrant fouls like 2024 no ejections no suspensions no fines.. then the Fever COACH and owner need to buy their own protection. Defensive Enforcer can sit on the bench perhaps the threat will be enough to stop the dirty play. The Refs and league officials or Comissioner don't or won't then Fever needs to step up. The NBA went through a clean up process to stop deliberate dirty play, Now when NBA play gets out of hand elbows get thrown players get ejected and suspended and fined. WNBA controlled by Sports Bettting points spread appears to want to injure Clark . WNBA is a cash cow for sports betting businesses and tax write off for rich owners. She's definitely not that great now, but as far as total points, longevity, etc. it's hard to argue against her being the GOAT. I expect CC to be better, but it depends on how long she stays in the WNBA.

I became a Hawkeye in my Freshmen year 1976 at Iowa so I'm a big fan of CC so all these prognosticators saying that most of the free agents want to join the Fever is not very insightful.

Why are you guessing when it's SO obvious Satou was liking all the Fever fan comments about her joining the Fever? It doesn't take a genius to figure it out. The only thing now is what the Fever are willing to give up for her? I can Smith plus a couple draft picks and the deal is done. Defensive enforcer before dirty play injures Clark . Clark has had deliberate broken ear drum, eye socket and cheek smashed 90 seconds into playoff game, forearms across the face tackles at a full run mid court. It seems no one is considering what happens if Clark's nose is broken requires surgery no safe place to land causes small tears in ACL or Achilles tendon thats permanent when they fail. and never will be 100% after surgery. Fight fire with fire Brionna Jones doesnt have to be fast just fast enough to meet a dirty player in the fourth quater. Better put a Defensive threat on Fever bench or Clark will get injured. Fight fire with fire.

I am watching this on January 29, 2025, and so much has happened since this posting. I have not heard any of these players state they want to play with CC22 [speculation at best]. Kelsey Mitchell just resigned, so I think there will be more additions, but some will be from overseas. The Fever needs two things; players that can play defense and run.

You are aware that it's not always the last place team that gets the 1st pick. They have this thing called the draft lottery. If you didn't get in the playoffs, you get chances in reverse order of finish. If you have 5 teams not making it to the playoffs. The bottom team would get 5 entries in the lottery, the 5th worst team gets one chance. So please shut up until you actually learn something.
