I got that comb based on your recommendation and I love it! I now do a combination of finger dentangling and combing my hair and that seamless comb is the only comb I use. I even bought the mini one for my boyfriend ♡

Ti, that hair hat and lip colour though:winning! The humble coconut oil, black soap or any shampoo is a must and praise God for henna and ORS deep conditioner. Fenugreek spritz, Shea butter, blah, blah, blah...this 4c lady needs all the help she can get!

@Erika Miller - that's essentially what it is right? Very good for colder/windy climes as it protects your head, ears, neck and forehead. Much more social than a balaclava 😄

Great video as always! I'm doing pretty well for the challenge. I need to get those flexible snap rollers to keep my ends stretched as well as the hot head. I stopped wearing bonnets as they were the culprit behind my thinning edges😞 so now I am back to using satin scarves but have noticed they are growing back.

I feel you with the shampoo. I bought the shea moisture jbco shampoo because I wanted to try a moisturizing shampoo and it just doesn't lather and cleanse enough. I have to cut it with my normal lather, stripping shampoos that usually leave my hair squeaky clean and now it is the same effect but slightly moisturised. I love my scalp and hair CLEAN!

I love #4cfriday I say keep it going! Loving this look 💗 I totally agree with a consistent regimen rather than the products. Recently I have been getting asked what I’ve been doing with my hair because it looks “so healthy, thick, and long” and I couldn’t really say anything “pacifically” because I haven’t been doing anything special (rice water, black tea, green tea, onion juice etc rinses). I shampoo/clarify about once a month maybe twice if needed but I usually cowash. I’ve remembered you quoting Africanhairgod in a past video and i myself have repeated it a number of times to my friends and family. It makes complete sense. I really need to invest in a filtered shower head because I live in southern California as well and you’re right the water is downright disrespectfully harsh. I buy conditioning caps in bulk as well from amazon. Much more preferred than the plastic bag (but I’m knocking the bag). With regards to shears I hear it’s a good habit to buy a new pair every year. What do you think? I feel like that’s a bit extreme especially if you don’t use them as often. “My bottom b***h” haha I love you. Loved the video lots of great tips! Will definitely be sharing. I use and follow most of them. I gotta get in the habit of using distilled water though.

Agree with so much of this, and thanks for the support! I definitely don't buy new shears yearly, because I'm not cutting hair like dat. I trim SSKs and such, during wash days, but I'm not putting them to work like a pro stylist would be. Anyway, sounds like you have a solid routine going. Love it!

I just buy empty applicator bottles with the nozzles from the beauty supply store, and I used to save the bottles/nozzles from bs store bought box hair dye(back when I used that stuff) to use.
