Thankfully I grew up in a household that participated regularly in personal growth and development courses long before it was cool. I had access to the teachings of Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra, and Werner Erhard all of whom encourage self reflection, but even now I have a life coach to listen and keep me in check, and I highly recommend courses that force us to seriously look at our lives, like those from Landmark Worldwide, Tony Robbins, or Aerial BVI. Don’t be afraid to spend money on your self awareness!

An airline screwed up my booking and as a result I needed to book a 6 hour taxi ride to get to my client in time. I was very tempted to throw a fit, complain, etc. BUT - I stopped myself. I decided to feel my frustrstion, but to keep the negative vibes out of my conversation and appreciate the fact that I found a way to get to my destnstion. No need to take an unwanted event and make my day harder than it needs to be.

The best way to develop Self-Awareness is as follows: 1. Understand how our past life experiences shape our outlook in life. 2. Practice Self-Reflection, over meditation. 3. Ask bigger questions about life. 4. Have some knowledge about different Psychological Schools (Where you learn concepts such as Johari Window Model) Thank you for reading my comment! :)

Take No 1 for example...Know Your Strengths...what like me if you don't have any. As for No 2...I sure as hell know my weaknesses but experience has taught me that they can't be changed. No 4...drop your guard...are you bl**dy mad. No 5...adk for feedback...my family, friends, colleagues and employer know better than to even contemplate doing this to me. There is no such thing as constructive criticism. I'll stop here before I depress myself.
