My problem with this list is that most of these are things that will happen automatically AFTER you become high value, as opposed to things you can tweak in order to BECOME high value. There's not really any actionable take-away to "High value men are recognized by their high value peers." for example. That's an effect of being high value, not something you can change to make yourself high value. Also, I've always been annoyed by advice to the effect of "Surround yourself with successful people." because the constraints of my living situation mean that I'm constantly surrounded by losers and there's not much I can do about it. I live in disability housing in the middle of a de facto retirement community, so there's not much in the way of social venues in my area, and everyone's doing everything through Zoom nowadays anyway, so it's impossible to meet people IRL. I also can't just relocate to somewhere with an increased standard of living because my mental health issues prevent me from holding down a job for more than a few months at a time (and I'm not talking about some bullshit pop culture diagnosis like depression, I'm a legit schizo). I don't surround myself with losers by choice, I get surrounded by losers because of my living situation. If there's a place nearby where I can go to meet people who are ambitious and driven, I'd love to hear about it, but even the other students I've met at the local college just spend most of their free time playing video games and watching anime. People say "Surround yourself with people who are ambitious and driven." but where am I supposed to find these unicorns?

There were so many relationship points in High Value Women video, but in High Value Men video, it's all about career, nothing much on the character, or what kind of a partner he is. There's a difference between being a good "Provider" and a good "Partner". Being a good provider is a part of being a good partner, but not the other way round. Just felt like that the two videos somewhere showed as if it's just Men who are leader and Women mere accessories to their life. i have a couple critiques regarding this Alux opinion of what is considered "Value"able in a man. 1) just because someone makes a lot of money and has a comfortable income does NOT automatically mean that they are kind or compassionate- case in point my father. while I grew up upper middle class, it was without the love that SHOULD go along WITH the luxury. 2) Also, NOT everyone has the ability to organize or plan. Anything, really. some men are ADHD, which negates that trait. you know who else is ADHD? Will Smith ..and you KNOW he's successful ; but I bet you that he couldn't plan or organize anything without a secretary or someone helping him to be able to think that way

I really appreciate this series, it's great for the most part but the one thing that really sucks about this series is that it places so much value on a person's economic status. Money doesn't determine whether someone will be kind, intelligent, talented or willing to strive for excellence. Having money, being able to generate money or just simply printing money are formalities of being in this society and yes I understand how important money is, I have to pay my bills and enjoy life too, but money isn't the top priority in my life. If I made an impact with my works as an artist or by sharing what I've experienced as a person and it affects people's lives for the better, no one will care if I died rich or poor, they will only care about how I affected their lives

money is a common yardstick of success, if you are not willing to measure yourself on some kind of scale, you are cheating yourself
@highpointadvisors93142 жыл бұрын
I disagree. Listen carefully to values presented and you will realize that money is only the tool to measure success. The laws of success operate to achieve whatever goal is set. A millionaire boss was once helping an employee with the employee's goals. He told the young man that one.of his goals should be to become a millionaire "...because of what it will make of you." To become a millionaire will require that you work on yourself. "More money only makes you more of what you already are."

@@lexforsaken1404 I'm not successful as a human being and an upstanding member of society? I'm an artist and a teacher in the public school system I'm going into the final year of my Master's degree this fall. Coming from my circumstances where none of the males in my family have completed a bachelor's degree, having spent time in prison myself as a teenager and young adult to now having been in a book, several articles, an art show for HBO, a short video about my art by an award winning production studio, several scholarships to attend school, etc. I can provide links to everything that I mentioned if you're interested. All of these achievements have not made me rich but they have allowed me to experience a much more substantially fulfilling life. I may not be paid as much as an entertainer but I get paid to teach future entertainers and here money certainly doesn't measure my success. Some people are born with money and most people see that as having inherent value when they were just fortunate to be born with money.
@jaiquanfayson10992 жыл бұрын
@@highpointadvisors9314 Success as a human being or success as an oligarchy? How will having more money suddenly make me a person who cares about helping others? Because I can assure you I'm successful at that. Do I need to pay someone to help an elderly woman carry her bags or to help a woman up the stairs? Do I need to be working hard to become a millionaire or can I be a teacher and an artist spend quality time with my son while I can still afford to pay my rent and bills? Or should I focus on chasing more money instead? Money isn't the most important thing in the world, countenance of character is far more important. Some of these millionaires are happy to lie, cheat and steal in order to secure their money, and they'll even brag about it when they get away with it. Chasing money and being rich isn't the most important thing when it comes to being a valuable person or living a good quality of life

The Rules of Success are what they are. They can be used to accomplish noble goals, or to accomplish illicit objectives. Noble goals may be accomplished with money, or with time, but always with great thought. Each of us contributes in his/her own way ACCORDING TO THE VALUES THEY HAVE SETTLED UPON. A high value man is some one who can do everything you just said. But can also survive in jungles like in the Amazon or Congo and knows how to hunt and kill and clean and cook food and build a home and basically do ever our ansisters knew how to do back in the beginning of civilization. I'm not Rich at all but I will be one-day and idk want to be one of these successful human beings who doesn't know how to start a fire or hunt or knows how to fight. This is the ultimate high value man in my opinion. What do y'all think 🤔

Why didn't you talk about HVM as being good fathers and partners? What characteristics do they need to be good family men?
@ItsMe-dr7ir2 жыл бұрын
I don’t think ALUX finds those characteristic to be valuable in men. Disappointing. I didn’t find much in this video that would draw me to a HVM if I was a HVW. What’s the appeal on a romantic or marital partnership level??

my HIGH VALUE MAN is my guiding star...because, unlike me, he never gave up on me. and for this i am truly grateful. if i thought for one minute that i might make his world a worse place,then i would walk away. he deserves the best and i am going to make sure he gets it. thank you for listening.

Rest in power to great Kevin Samuels, the guy who made the high value conversation popular. Now everyone wants to talk about it. Give credit were credit is due.

High value men also control their emotions when things go left, they're direct with women in a confident and smooth way, they have a lot of self-care (hygiene, skin care routine, shaving, wearing nice clothes, cologne, etc) and they don't take no sh*t from anyone.

High value man control their own time . Not highest income and not working for someone's company. Enlightening !!
@juandavid0182 жыл бұрын
High Value Men (HVM) are not those who earn income based on the number of clicks on a video "telling" others how to be a HVM. HVM do not waste their time and energy telling others that they are high value. They just are.

A highly valuable man is the kind of person who knows exactly whether he is worth the weight of gold and possesses the kind of characteristics that he passes by in silence, but if we're going to answer according to what you said at the end and in the form of a question, I am definitely Gold. & thank you for your sharing.

That was an amazing video Alux, it cleared the pathway on the way to the gold. I am definitely in the gold handcuff stage right now, but I am working to build value in my network (mentors and friends), my asset classes, and my family. I would say a Transpersonal purpose is also the mark of a HVM.

I mostly disagree about what makes a High Value Man. In my opinion, this type of man is an obsessive person with actual little care about their own mental health (if this is not getting in the way of achieving their goals) and little care about about the people surrounding them. They are just there to fulfill their addiction to money and power and yes, they are going to have a mid-life crisis, not because they are getting older but because they have achieved so many things that there will be no more meaningful achievements to them (the movie UP! shows that). We are all subject to luck, and despite how much things we learn and how many coaches we hire, a lot of things in our lives are and will ever be out of our control, denying that this fact does not play a role is a intellectual dishonesty that several writers of autobiographies do in order to sell their books. And for me a High Value Man is not just a man that lives up only for their selfish goals but a person that care for the others too!
