Wouldn't have been cooler though if they would have gotten some black person on their crew though? They act as if we're tech illiterate, which only furthers the stereotype that we actually are by not representing us and contributing to the problem of racism as a whole. I've been following Linus and his Crew since the beginning, but I think I'm going to unsubscribe from them tonight. Nothing will ever be done, unless we the customers have shown these companies that enough is enough.

@@alexanderfrancis3008 What the hell are you actually talking about? You're legitimately insane to imply that any company "needs" black people. Forced diversity is terrible and always backfires since it's not about quality, but rather about meeting a quota. They hire based on application and if there are people that are unfit for hire, then they aren't hired and that's about that. That's also incredibly pretentious to assume that there are that many black people applying at all, for all we know there's 1% or fewer, but there's no point even thinking about since once again it is something we have no knowledge of. Not just that, but not once have they made any defamatory or negative comments towards any black person in the decade or so that I've been watching them, so to say "They act as if we're tech illiterate" is outright idiotic. I'm half black and hate seeing people spout this diversity nonsense when it has zero impact on the content whatsoever. Please unsubscribe if your ignorance here is any display of what you bring to the community, I'm certain everyone will be happier with that outcome.

It would have to have a pretty smart and catchy name like they did for this channel and the mac channel. I personally think that Mac Address and Short Circuit are pretty awesome channel names. The south-facing LED thing actually indicates compatibility with GMK keycaps. If the LEDs are north-facing, the switches would need to be installed upside-down, which will interfere with the installation of Cherry profile keycaps such as GMK, and it makes the board feel and sound bad.

Don't disconnect aviator connectors when your keyboard is plugged in. They are not designed to be hot pluggable and might screw your usb controller. Usually, hot pluggable switches have ground connection disconnected first and then other pins are disconnected (like your USB connector housing or extra long pin in PCI).

Does anyone know if they will be selling the short circuit board or key caps. I looks so good IMO.

Have the k2. I couldn't see bluetooth pairing keys so assume this isn't capable and wasn't mentioned in the review

Got a Keychron K8 and the included switch puller is terrible. It's too short and stubby to be usable and I needed a small flathead screw to assist with the pulling. I had a 2-in-1 keycap puller I bought before when I thought the Logitech G512 Carbon's issues were repairable. It worked way better than Keychron's as it's taller and I didn't have to squeeze the puller to push the locking notch, hence, no longer requiring a flathead screw and made things way easier.

Hey there! As a fellow tech enthusiast, I highly recommend checking out the HOTO Compressed Air Capsule for cleaning your desktop setup. With its powerful vacuuming and blowing capabilities, it's perfect for keeping your workspace spotless. Plus, its multiple tubes, high-quality filters, and efficient storage make it a versatile cleaning tool. Definitely worth considering!

As someone who has had really bad luck with switches in bags I got the aqua kings in a bag and more than half of them had pins that were so bent they weren't usable. And I spent $90 on a set of those.

Been looking for a keyboard upgrade recently, looking to move to wireless finally but i'd also like a 90% keyboard so that I maintain a numPad whilst saving some desk space. Keychron do one called the K4 so thank you for doing a video on this keyboard because you might have just found me my next purchase :)

I love the customizability of the Q1 but I gotta have 100% or full scale. I hope they get that option next year.

Someone from LTT who knows that switches don't start and end with cherry mx :) This and the GMMK Pro are pretty decent intro boards. The only thing that sucks about this is the $30 shipping to the US. International shipping always hurts. I would personally absolutely sacrifice the gasket flex for a thicker foam layer though.

I have a Keychron and the paint is chipping off the keys, 4 of the backlit keys are out, I paid less than a 100 for it so it's worth it to me. It didn't come with any replaceable keys.

My first mechanical keyboard is a Keychron K8 which I have been using for about half a year now. There's just 2 downsides for me, Keychron does not have their native software yet to customize keys and most if not all units that they have ship with the cheaper ABS keycaps instead of PBT.
