I use RP 10w-40 HPS for my 6.7 (every day, not break-in). It is non-API rated so not constrained by emissions requirements and is fortified with zinc/phosphorus for lubricity and wear protections. Any newer API SL, SM, or SN rated oil as had almost all the zinc and phosphorus stripped out for emissions purposes. I do oil changes every 7-8K miles and send the oil off the Blackstone Labs for oil analysis. My rig is far from stock and it is used to tow 10-15K trailers along with being driven is a spirited manner. Analysis always comes back with no significant measurable wear and they always recommend I could go longer on the interval (I will stick to 7-8k miles).

None of the oils minus Rotella I listed off are safe on emissions systems, never been a fan of royal purple just thought it was snake oil, so good to learn!

Dude where did you find the teal color? My 06 with compounds has a teal in the turbo housing and rocker box and ext. But I’m a die hard Sam Jose Sharks fan, been to at least 600 to 700 games and a lot a quarter of those are playoff seeings how we make almost every year to not finish it. But I baked my turbo housing with a clear and it turned my real gross green color. I also have wherlie fab Candy teal upper rad hose too. I’m jelly for reals!
