I've worked on alot of 150cc engines. Take a cut off wheel to the end of the muffler and remove the baffle and re-weld end back on . Helps with low end torque.

just a quick tip: when you apply air filter oil, you want to soak the filter in the oil completely, and then squeeze out the excess. Don't ring the filter element out, just gently squeeze out the excess. If you don't have any coming out, you haven't oiled it enough.

I traded the yarf dog with a 39 inch live axle for a 2005 Twister Kart with a 150cc. When I got it the front brakes weren't bled and not working. I had to buy a new master cylinder and couldn't get it to bleed soooo I had to pressure bleed the system. I took a thin piece of rubber a piece of thin plexiglass and a tire pump with a needle for a ball and a C clamp. The hole in the master cylinder was so small I couldn't get enough brake fluid into it fast enough by just using the foot peddle. This worked very good. I think next is the engine upgrade. Great job!!

I bought the clutch and slide weights that y’all did, did you change the 2000rpm clutch springs when you put the 1500rpm main spring? I know mine woke up after putting a 130 jet carb on from the 95 stock, as well as installing the new CDI you recommend

Hello if I made a 2 speed gear box with neutral would I still need a centrifugal clutch. Also what gear ratio would you recommend for 2 speed gear box with a 16hp 420cc petrol 6000rpm. It’s going to be a racing go kart so probably 6inch wheels. Thanks

you still need a way to release the engines output shaft from turning the gearbox so you can shift, so probably.

If you fit a snorkel or extension to the intake to get it a bit further away from the wheels and ground, it may draw in less dust and mud into the air filter

Hey I've got that same go kart same brand and everything what did you do with the vacuum Line into the stock airbox into the valve cover I left mine unplugged and it started blowing out smoke and a little oil

I dont think thats a vacuum line. Should be a crankcase vent commonly called a pcv valve on a car. It runs into the airbox and is burned in the engine as a way to keep from polluting to open air. It wont harm anything disconnected. Just vent it away from you and above where you expect water to reach

You could have used the new caliper. They stopped making the factory one. Now the one with the built in parking brake is the replacement.

Mr Redbeard PLEASE HELP!!! so I have a BRAND NEW 16 hp duromax I got (thanx to u sir & ur code) BUT never been started, CUZ IT simply WONT lol. Has spark,obviously comp., good fuel,plenty oil (so not thinking low oil sensor) fuel in bowl of carb, but absolutely refuses to start, tried key start til I killed battery & tried pull start til I bout threw my arm out.even tried starting fluid. Man I am stumped. May take apart carp & inspect? Idk really need help. Just got 40 series TAV so thinking were G2G & can ride now finally & the 🤬thing won't fire up.bummed out man

I can't find your video about custom wiring for the 212 but can I just trim that little knob off the spark plug wire.... if I can locate it where I want I won't have to move the motor to change the carb when I change it out

Hey man so I put a newcarb on and stuff it started up ran but has no brakes 😂 but when I push on the gas it like won’t engage in gear really and go foward you kinda have to feather it but I needed someone to push me to get it shifted and when ur driving it like won’t shift to go faster and ideas why please let me know

So on my Baja Dune 150 , I put new crab on , cleaned gas tank , new gas , and CDI , plug and wire . Now it starts up amazing , idles great and when I hit the gas it barely moves a foot and dies . When I jack up the rear end the tires spin awesome but down and load on it doesn't go . Any suggestions boss

Ok so posting a comment on a 2 year old video but I need a bit of help. I just got into all of this go kart life with a kandi kd-150fs. The shifter is funky and dosent go into Rev or forward depending if it is in the opposite gear. You have to pump the throttle to get the shifter to slam into gear. The issue is that this is an integrated reverse gear and not the external one. I have a video and will post it. Just wondering if you've seen this and if a cable replacement will fix it.

hey i got the same go kart but it wont stay running unless were turning the key to start it then its seems fine, but when we stop tryn to turn the key to start it dies out. got any clue to why this is. we just cleaned the carb jets.

Use DRY foam and paper air filters so you can just knock the dust off and keep going.
