Kandi 150cc Buggy Fix, Lights, & Speakers

In today's video we get a new to us Kandi 150cc buggy for my daughter. We get it in the garage and replace the carb and brake master cylinder. Once running good we upgrade the lights with all led headlights, fog lights, turn signals, and taillights. We top it off with some bluetooth atv speakers so she is ready to party. hey i ordered the same motorcycle taillight, had same problem they just stayed on, the issue is that they dont pull enough amps to trigger the flash relay, so either add resistors(which i did, but they get hot and melted their wire out) or buy a low amp LED specific flasher relay and they will work just fine... OR you can just add 2-3 more led lights to the signal wire circuit (to increase the amp load) and they will work aswell...

I hope you have better luck than I did with that Chinese taillight with the built in blinkers. I got the same one and the left would never blink. Ended up getting an led strip and cutting off the tag mount and used it for my tag. Keep up the good work!👍

I've got two Trailmaster XRS 150 ( 2013 and 2016 ). I got tired of seeing them in my shop so I've decided to pull out the old dead GY6s and thinking of installing either a Predator 301cc or maybe a 420cc engine, a 10Tx60T gearing. I've done a few things with my welding machine but this will be a new adventure for me. I've watched quite a few of your vids and I'm convinced that I'll give it a try. You guys make it fun and that's what it's all about, just making something better. Happy trails!

Hey , glad I found this video because I have acquired the same Kandi 150. Mine had a shredded drive belt which was about all that was really wrong with it. I have relocated the battery to a much better location, up behind the driver side. I am adding LED's to mine also, but rectangle not round; and relocating all the lights to be inside the roll cage in-case of a roll over. I ordered some of the parts you listed and would really like to see how you can improve the performance on this 150. I have seen other videos that have sparked my interest with doing a much larger engine swap. I'll wait and see. Thanks for this video. PS. I will try to send photos later.

I have one just like that. My wiring was garbage and i ended up redoing it to my preferences. I put some low profile led lights on it because they blocked less of my view while driving. I recently blew my motor up though so im very interested to see what u have up your sleeve for this one. Best of luck!

Please do multiple videos on this Kandi cart, I picked up a Kandi cart but have been waiting on weather to cool below 100 degrees to start work on it! I'd love to get it running before added the big bore kit so I could do an honest comparison between the two! I have high hope for this cart being my entrance into custom high performance carts. LOL. Any tips or links to Kandi carts anyone can give would be greatly appreciated. I'd love to know more about their history, where the sold predominantly and the best place to pick up parts for them. I am currently working on one of these same karts. I replaced the carb, elbow and air cleaner box as they were all jacked up. I am needing to get an electrical box cover and also go through the wiring harness and electrical box layout so I can try to restore everything correctly. There is electrical tape and spliced stuff going on so would be great to get some photos and layout of that from your Kandi 150 so I can get this thing back to square one. Rather get everything back to spec before trying to even start it or trouble shoot why it quit on them before. Ton of vacuum leak possibilities were there with dry rotted lines, and broken parts around the original air cleaner box. Thanks.

Might need to wire in some resistors for the turn signals. Incandescents pull more amps to switch the flasher relay.

we just installed some Nilight 7" cree led's on ours, and man are they bright for lil buggy lights....and possibly add a light bar across the top middle, maybe that would eliminate that ear look

Wow 😯 great video bro! I have a 4 seater, and it starts fine, but for some reason the lights are not cutting on or the dashboard indicators, speedometer or the turning singles. I have to hold the key all the way to the right to get it to come on for some reason. Any pointers?

I just recently got a Coleman 2020 candy style cart. When I go to start it all I get is a single click near the starter, I changed out the starter and solenoid and battery and still just a click could you let me know if it's my starter clutch or the motor locked up

Hey red beard, I that exact go kart, I bought it not running, was told it had no spark. I finally got it running but it was really weak and would not go fast at all, so I took the engine apart and the Piston was broken so I decided to get it big board, parts will be here soon, but I have had trouble with the back breaks,it's like there's no pressure back there and they won't work any suggestions?

Sounds like the green with yellow wire has broken off in harness for brake lights. FYI if you get another buggy with them same tail lights and want a cheap quick fix, trailer lights fit in the bracket holes. Lost the same light off black widow.

I have that exact go cart I’m working on right now I have change the variator sliders to 10 g, I have replaced the belt, I have checked the clutch, and I’m getting a lurch or my engine is twisting… It’s some kind of a gear set and I can’t change out the gears because of the 150 mL candy the gears are on the right side where the internal reverse is I don’t know if it’s a 40 to 13 ratio I’d prefer to have a whole shot as opposed to top end... I was seeing if you could replace the gears in that or what do I have to do to find the proper gasket to split it open because I am dumbfounded on why the engine is lurching . I have jackstand in the candy in the air and put full gas on it and it spins perfectly with no load… But when I have a person on it the engine lurches and it seems like if the tire rotates like five times that’s when the engine lurches so it Hass to be something of the gear set inside have you gearing to replace the internals or is it some other issue

What's going on Sir love all your content that's a nice go-kart quick question I have a 150 sport Baja go-kart bought it from a guy it was vandalized it had no ignition key put power a battery in it have no power to the dash there is no fuse they just tied it together could not get any spark change the coil and stator coil wire spark plug CDI box no spark is there anything that you could tell me what to do I thought about changing the whole harness from the dash to the engine I cannot find the the harness for it is there an alternate harness that you think that you could direct me to I would appreciate it thank you sir 👌

I have a 2011 one with a 250 im trying to find a wiring harness for it before I just fix and make this one correct. Do you know if the hammer haed one will work that has the same size motor.on it. It the only thing I can find with the part number from the service manual when I search the number thats what comes up with the exact same.number for there's? I have wiring diagram with the service mani found also so if need be I will just do it my self would just rather replace the whole thing though cause it was left sitting outside for a couple years I belive if not more . But got it for a really good deal I know it was running at one point t not long before I bought it cause either have gas in it and was still good so it want left sitting with that it for long. But look like a kid butchered the wiring behind the seat the connects all the stuff for it to run.

It in great condition not rusted or wrecked frame and just one of the seat will.need to.be repaired or fixed to put back shocked ar still good and tires holding air still ,but for 200 it was a good steal the motor or just the frame is worth that!

You can't legitimately sell a carb with a "performance jet". As you know, carb jetting is dependent upon far too many factors.

But said carb would fit specifically to a pre sized intake. Couldn't put a four barrel on my mower. Got nothing to do with a carb from a company that sells the same carb with a stock jet and a performance jet. Think before you speak
