Thanks. I thought that this IOM course run was the first since you retired racing on it and it shows how much you enjoyed it.

As a former downhill skier and amateur motorcyclist it is fascinating to see your line choices.. I would call it to "take height" before turns which is what you were doing iin the video. Cheers from an old man in Norway.

Great video Dave, as always. Reminded me of when I was going over the mountain flat out on my NC35 when a guy on a Busa with a side car (with a wheelchair inside)and a misses on the back, overtook me like I was in reverse 😮😂

I've never been so fast in a hire car from Ramsey to Douglas, heading down to Creg-Ne-Baa those banks make the road feel very narrow!

What a bike, what a place! I hope at some point you do a buyers guide for Tuono v4. I had a first gen 1000 v4 and loved it. I let it go due to horror stories of engine failures. Would love another.

Great video Dave. Some great places to visit. I think we do need to know who had the best sim car time though and whether you got into double figures in the snooker. I would have thought they'd have at least shut the mountain road for you being TT royalty and all that!
@obsession_engineering Жыл бұрын
I let Martin do more sim laps, because I'm very kind... That's my excuse for him being faster 🤣 I'm sure I potted something at snooker, does the white count?

Stunning scenery! The Tuono on the Mountain road, whilst open, is a match made in heaven. What were the conditions on the day you did the onboard?

Pretty good weather, dry, no big winds and a nice temperature. Ideal riding

Really good motorbike fun on this one. I thought I recognised the guy in the Sim Centre, isn't he one of the Travelling Marshalls for thr TT? Think I've seen some videos he's done.

You maybe can go as fast as you like, The boys in blue have a list of other things that they can pull you over for, Reckless driving/ endangering other peoples life,s , The list goes on, Enjoyed that vlog, A ex Manxman that still after nearly 20 years racing around there, still know the lines,, Bumps might have got bigger/smaller, You can see through the corners more than before, Hence the higher speeds, Scared the s--t out of my nephew 3 years ago in my old focus with where i placed it when the road was clear, 🙂🙂
@obsession_engineering Жыл бұрын
Knowing the lines definitely helps! And you're right about the rules, hence me trying to give people reasonable space and staying away from the double whites
@ianmorris1265 Жыл бұрын
Great Stuff as usual Dave. Did it make you reconsider your decision to stop racing round there, even if ever so slightly? Keep up the great work!
