Very impressive that they gave you access to the bike. So much work and money goes in to this, incredible. Than you Dave 👍

It’s a lot of money, but compared to F1, it’s nothing. I’m not into cars but work took me on the Red Bull Factory tour, what a massive money spender that is. Just for making the bodywork they have 4, £600,000 3d printers. Each printer prints on a bed of liquid stuff that’s £60,000 each.

Query.If the Honda RCV213 is supposed to be the top road weapon from Honda on the planet why are the top TT Honda riders still riding fireblades ? Or are they just too expensive and bespoke to set up ?

Can somebody please explain to me why certain parts like the top yoke need flex? When you say "to give the bike feel" what does this mean? Thanks.
@obsession_engineering2 ай бұрын
It is an odd concept, and some of the very fine details are still a mystery, but back in the 90's and early noughties the manufacturers were making incredibly stiff chassis' and finding they were difficult to ride and gave little feedback, as well as being more prone to chatter. Having a tiny amount of movement helps to damp out the chatter and improve feel, exactly why is still a mystery to me though!
@YUGEBBQ2 ай бұрын
@@obsession_engineering ok thanks for the reply, Great content on the TT bike's they are great.
@Team-fabulous Жыл бұрын
Nonsense about the flex in the brake caliper mount. Flex leads to bracket failure which leads to catastrophic brake failure which isn't a good thing on a 210mph motorcycle. The brackets are machined specifically to save weight.

there's something i still don't understand about new gen bikes is why don't they adopt the engine running backwards thing to diminish the inertia generated by the wheels? bike becoems far more flickable even with a big engine. flickability is important on the TT. it gives you margin for mistakes. like braking a bit late or being a bit wide and being able to correct quickly the direction of the bike on the racing line. it's in MotoGP since many years now so why not on Superbikes?? i really don't get it.
@obsession_engineering Жыл бұрын
Ducati have the counter rotation crank in the v4, but nobody else has gone that way. I assume for ease/cost of production vs track performance
