150mph Top Speed run in the Lexus LS460 after HKS VAC install [Speed Limiter Removed]

Car: 2010 Lexus LS460 with the sport pkg in Matador Red Mica.
Found and installed the HKS VAC (Velocity Advance Computer) Type S model T-802
For some reason only in America did the LS460 have a 130mph speed limiter. Lexus says that with no limiter in place it will top out at 175mph. With a drag coefficient of 0.26 I believe it.
I have yet to antagonize anyone into a race but I am constantly having other cars messing with my big ole Lexus. But it just gets to 130 soo quickly that hitting the limiter is just embarrassing.
So I found this and it was a direct drop in. Unplug one plug from the ecu, plug it into one end of the VAC’s harness and the harness into the ecu.
I was expecting the speedo to stop reading at 130mph and once it went past I looked away and the next time I glanced down is when I hit the brakes.. wasn’t expecting 150.

Two more gears and you were fucking hooked up past 150 in 6th. What a machine. That big v8 has the same split personality you find early 00s AMG and M cars. Will be appreciated in the years to come.

It definitely is slept on. And even suprised me on while it may not move ridiculously fast, it does it consistently no matter the speed, like air drag is irrelevant.

I’ll be damned if it didn’t lol. The fun thing is that it’s an 8spd trans. Lexus says it would do 175mph with no limiter…

It would just get to the 130 limiter sooo quickly that it bugged me. Like even in this video I reacted at the end because I looked up once it went past 130 and the next time I looked down I expected like 140, not 150

Was it hard to install the HKS VAC? My instructions came in Japanese and the translation says something about recalibrating steering position and other sensors may be necessary.

Yeah i translated those as well. You take off the ecu cover, unbolt the trans computer, unplug one ecu connection, and then plug it into the vpc and the vpc into the ecu. Done

No it shifted into 6th at 150.. and i have not pushed it any further. Just got annoyed by the 130 limiter so it had to go.

@@S.T.R.Y.K.E.R. I got mine with 101k, i had a shock or two that was weak but I attribute that to it being very lowered for awhile. So when I raised it back they didn’t last long. Shocks usually last 120k-ish. Otherwise mine was very well taken after and I didn’t have to do much more than freshen things up which is my preference when I buy a car.
