Great job as always . I love how it took less than 2 min and "this guy took a little doing "haha I love it . Always make it look easy. Thanks for sharing brother!

that keyway was the first thing I saw!! well done you made it look easy lol...
@lockpickinglawyer8 жыл бұрын
+tonyholt90 Yup, that keyway is nasty. As you might have noticed, I had to move the pick around and pick off of different bits or warding to access different pins at different heights.

Seriously you made that look far too easy 😯😯😎🔓 Those locks are expensive this side of the pond , still want to get one though. Thanks for sharing 👍👍👍😘🍻

+Pick Beard Thanks. it's a nice little lock, but once you get the hang of navigating the (extensive and rather difficult) warding, picking becomes much easier.

Nice pick. Question - where did you get the tools (follower and that clip thing to remove the cylinder) for these Euro cylinders?
@lockpickinglawyer8 жыл бұрын
+AKJeeper Thanks. The pinning shoe and follower are from Peterson.

Beautiful lock very nicely picked. The keyway does look intimidating but doesn't seem to affect picking too much. I feel sorry for the poor springs ;-) Where did you get the pinning shoe from?
@lockpickinglawyer8 жыл бұрын
+Potti314 Thanks... and yes, I did abuse those springs. :-( The pinning shoe is from Peterson. A little on the pricy side, but the only American option I know of for gutting one side of a Euro only.

It's probably too late now, but you didn't mention the extra hole in the cylinder, behind all the key-pins.

Nice job threading that key way to attack the lock. I didn't see how you manipulated the side pins though. Thanks for another great vid.
@lockpickinglawyer8 жыл бұрын
+Herb Fields Thanks. No need to manipulate the side pins. They are passive pins, intended for key control only.

Ah OK thanks. I would have been trying to pick them! lol

Great video, as always, but a straight-on close-up of the keyway would have been awesome!

+ernie5229 thanks. I'll keep that in mind for future videos. Here's a better view: www.mauer.bg/en/products/17-profile-cylinder-mauer-family

Is that the Peterson top loader? If so how do you find it? Anyway nice picking as always
@lockpickinglawyer8 жыл бұрын
+Steensy Thanks, and yes it is. Thinkpeterson.com has them in stock.

Thanks for sharing. What is the make of the picks that you use?
@lockpickinglawyer8 жыл бұрын
+rupert handford Thanks. In this video, I'm using one of the Sparrows .032" Pry Bart-type tension tools, and a Peterson .015" #7 hook.

Hi, just this evening my ex girlfriend rang me up saying she lost her keys and needed my help with getting in her backdoor. I happened to have bought a lockpicking set last year so I went over and started trying to pick the lock to her backdoor. It was the Mauer SKG**, which I assume is very much like this one. It did however have a knob instead of a keyhole on the inside of the door. I managed to pick the lock three times and I was able to turn the keyhole, but it never would engage the cylinder cam. You probably know why it wouldn't engage. Any advice?
@planar974Ай бұрын
These two-sided cylinders have a clutch mechanism to let them turn from either side. It is engaged by the tip of the key, so you have to insert a probe or a hook to push it while turning.
