Amazing to hear a beautiful boat come to life again. Sad to see that many other boats are unfortunately thrown away, thank you guys for restoring this one. Hope you and future owners have a great time on the water with her.

Thank you! It will be very much enjoyed this summer. There's a lot more work to do but more content will come because of it!

My uncle Gene had a sea ray Sundancer I think it was 42' 420 Sundancer had 2 350 mag engines. Was built around 2000. That was a bad bit** had v berth bed room, bath room, kitchen, dinet, bar, and a bed room under console. Would run 40mph and make a hell of a wake behind it. Good times thinking back on those days.

Just stumbled across your channel. Sweet boat man. I have a 1992 SeaRay. It’s kinda rare also. It’s the SkiRay 190S with a Mercury Black Max V6 200hp outboard. Looking forward to more vids.

That's alot of boat for $15k. A Bimini top for some shade would be nice

I’ve got a 1990 370ss actually , with no arch but full Bimini & camper top.

I'm a Yamaha tech. Started on mercruiser. ...had a 1981 Sea Ray 310 sedan bridge that was incredible. Restored it as I used it. Had the old mercruiser 330s that that boat originally had. It burned about 55 gallons an hour up on plane, but she was a great boat.. that boat should have been velvet drives, would have handled much better... I currently have a 278 chapparal with twin 4.3s/alphas, that's about as big as I'd wanna go with a sterndrive setup. Bravo's are tough, but thats alot of boat. Good luck. If you run into anything, I've been working on this type of boat basically my entire life. Currently doing work on an 86 390. Happy wakes.

Oh and please don't wrap it. If you're looking to change the color imron is a great option. But, with a good 3 step compounding process, that boat would look brand new.

We have officially decided to paint it. We’re sanding down and prepping the outside as we speak

Thanks for reaching out Jeff!! We’re really enjoying the project so far. It’s been a lot of work but it will definitely be worth it when she looks brand new!

Nice buy! I was looking at one of these, also at the lake of the Ozarks, in 2019 but I waited too long and it was gone. The one I was looking at was $20K. I am still hoping to find one in Texas for that price one day.

Good luck! They’re hard to come buy. We love ours. It’s a great boat. They tend to hold their value pretty well too. A poor mans Formula 400 SS

People saying 15k isn’t worth it don’t know what they’re looking at or talking about the set of motors used are almost 20k and the drive hanging off the back are another 10 to 15k u have 30 to 35,000$ in just drive line that u got for less then half

Did 1992 Sea Ray 38 SS also have twin inboard engines with twin shaft props with twin rudders back then as standard?
@BoatRestorationByBen2 жыл бұрын
No they all came with twin Bravo One drives. Never an option for straight shafts but honestly I love that idea!

You pull the mirror up to dry off under the mirror after a shower. Or clean it if you have not been faithful to dry it. Helps keep your show from stinking.

It's always hilarious how everyone tells you that you've overpaid for everything but you're generally paying pennies in relation to the "new" cost which of course was made with dollars that held significantly more purchasing power.
