Yeah, that really was amazing. I always listen very carefully to every word Chris says and in the moment it feels very logical and simple at the same time, but it is so freaking hard to execute and stick to the course during day-to-day volatilty and fud. For instance, after listening spaces with Chris in November I started to make bold, rational moves as he called them, allocating capital. But when Binance fud started to go viral in the second part of December I was so tired of it, I paused my regular DCA purchses. At some point I considered exiting longs and even got shaken out of one smaller, lower conviction play. Even though I realized at that time talks about Binance going down were nonsense, but that scared voice inside of me kept whisperig: "and what if it's true?" Ended up somewhat underexposed overall, but without Chris' experience shared on Bankless I would be completely sidelined and coping right now. 😄 Takes a lot of deliberate effort to break out of group thinking and navigating those waves.

To be clear, the super-cycle argument wasn't so much, "Mass adoption now means no more 70% pullbacks". It was more like, "Bitcoin didn't peak comparatively to past cycles, therefore it might be the beginning of something different (i.e. super cycle)."

All I know is that I need to look much more into Solana. I was really against what they were doing year and two ago but tbh after listening to Anatoly talk about their journey I started to really change my mind. There is an immense value in having the founder remain so down to earth after his project blew up so much. After listening to Chris talk about how they are addressing some of the problems, I’m going to have to look into it myself 🤔 One other point - I think being maxi about anything is extremely reductive. When you put something so high on the pedestal, you will inadvertently bring the opposite of that down which closes your mind on various opportunities.

Although the companies in my portfolio are solid, last year was a loss. In my first year of investing, I experienced a 35% decline in the March/April sell-off and a further 17% decline in the most recent sell-off. I earn my money via hard work, thus investing makes me anxious and depressed. I'm uncertain if I should sell everything and wait.

Everything he pitched about Solana makes me even more apprehensive about it. No value proposition, just some traditional capital doing its best to be in crypto. They have to dump on someone those vested SOL.

So then you were weary about Eth before it transitioned to PoS, or does that not fit your narrative? Y’all act like Eth has been this way from the beginning lol. It takes time to build, and Eth has first mover advantage. However, it’s design is dated, and software upgrades will only take it so far. Solana scales with hardware and software, and doesn’t require sharding. Best case scenario, and even this is unlikely, Eth will hit 100,000 tps. Solana will be far above that by the time Eth is anywhere near that number

I am interested in disclosures of funding grants that these builders which went to Solana received along the way. If I remember correctly there were huge incentives distributed to devs and builders who commited to Solana. I can't help but feel like the whole truth is not being told when these numbers are not willingly and transparantly disclosed when citing them as examples of "builders/devs choosing Solana over Ethereum (or any other L1 for that matter). Also, how much does the hardware for me to run a Solana node cost?
