“Getting lost, walking back and forwards and then stumbling across the track”. That sums up my weekend recently, trekking through Lamington National Park on a remote/unmanaged track. Mossy rocks, fallen trees, roots and vines and trying to find those pink markers makes for a slow walk but it’s always SO WORTH IT! Thanks so much for this epic footage, makes me want to go back and explore Tassie. I only just discovered your channel and I’m looking forward to catching up on the rest of your adventures!

Fantastic Rob, the drone of the falls very spectacular, I recently did a walk to the upper tiers of Russell Falls at Mt Field, very few ever go there as no tracks and rugged, but absolutely magic. Have you done Growling Swallet in the Florentine? a cave system at the head of the Junee River, best in summer at low water so you can head down into the cave. Fascinating. Just a few thoughts, all the best.

Spectacular walk Rob. I got lost last week, confused by hidden track branches made by wild pigs on steep slopes surrounded by cliffs on Mt Elliot in QLD just south of Brisbane. Was just before dark with an hour back down & one split that was hidden on the way up by brush, caused me to drop down 200m to be cut off by cliffs covered in 4 foot of grass as far as i could see. It was a moment of anxiety & a real tough climb back up to the cliffs to follow them East. It was the best 360* view of the region I've ever seen. you can see from Brisbane city to the border ranges & absolutely spectacular.

Hi Rob, great videos, who are the music artists in this video, couple walks you might be interested in montazuma falls which is on the abt railway, mount bishop at Waratah the is lot of old mine working, Dundas, interview river mine down sandy cape, one place of only been their when young was the power station at Waratah which the start of the Arthur River. The power station is the bottom of the water fall, I don’t know if it’s still there but we’ll worth a look. A lot of places you’ve to I did when I was much younger. Just further information a book called Vanished towns of Tasmania might be some inspiration. Great videos Ben Cains

Great perseverance Rob. Glad your camera gear didn’t get smashed crossing that creek. I reckon I would have held my own head under the water if I lost my gear in it. Sam Kruijver thanks sam. Yeah I was pleasantly surprised the bag kept all the gear dry, it’s not a waterproof bag as such. With the drone as I said in the intro it’s outside of the National park. I wouldn’t and don’t fly inside National parks. Too many drone police!
