I wish all fitters had your ways of fitting. You are trying to help unstead of trying to sell. This is what is ABSOLUTELY needed anytime a person goes to a fitter. Most golfers dont really know whats really happening during the swing and all they can see is the final outcome which is total yards and some kind of dispersion, if any. If the golfer is just sold a club without any kind of tips provided, it can lead to playing poor golf and struggling to play well and that would equal no fun. Props to you for doing what you do. Appreciate your videos. Thanks from USA Texas.👍

Great video. I've a very similar standard driver swing speed but I know every now and then I just get a feel in setup and then feel I can just rip it. When that happens i get about 30 yards more but I often then hit some awful high right weak drives trying to replicate that magical feel. I think how you just explained it here about the kind of flick and roll of wrists might just be what I need to focus on. Keep up the good work, love it.

I had a ping g425 sft stiff tensei orange and it spun 4000-5000 even my pro couldnt get it under 3500 on his gc quad. Just bought an aerojet ls and the ball flys the trajectory is so piercing to what im used to. Hit my further ball last week 260y carry off 103mph swing speed. Speed training for me consists of just blasting balls on my sim and driving range 2/3 a week. Much more fun than speed sticks

That Cypher shaft was a game changer for him.. I’m curious what do u think would of happened if u went 6.0 or even up to 50 g.. when his speed increased.. Thanks and always enjoy your videos
@epgolfstudios11 күн бұрын
Thanks John, and probably not a lot tbh. The same shafts at the same weight just with a different flex normally doesn't change much at all for the vast majority of amateurs.
@MM-zb9kc6 ай бұрын
Need to do a video with the Proxima shaft. Would give more speed and distance and help with hitting it straight.
@epgolfstudios6 ай бұрын
Hmm I think that's unlikely tbh. Tested the Autoflex and that didn't really do much in the way of speed or distance. Only a small amount shaft can do on that front really. If they gave me one I might do a video on it but I definitely wouldn't buy one.
@MM-zb9kc6 ай бұрын
@@epgolfstudios AutoFlex was very difficult to work with because you had to really cut down the weight to get to a certain swing weight. Proxima is in the line of the Ventus shafts and doesn’t need you to be at a specific weight. It’s the best shaft I’ve ever played in the wind. Seems to really cut down the side spin and produces a great ball flight with more speed and distance.

Bruv said, “just release the club mate” and it unlocked 40 yards of carry 🤣. Awesome

I've literally done that in countless fittings. It's mad how many amateurs try and steer and get very tight on it. And that generally doesn't even help it go much straighter anyway

@epgolfstudios Me! I took a lesson yasterday, and as a new player I got teached never to flick the wrists and I always wondered what I was doing wrong in the driver. It was 50/50 chance it got donated to the fairyworld or on the fairway. Turns out... if I let the club come before my hands, it makes dreamwork!! Cause the swing was good, not the release!! Sad thought since now I can't justify a new driver 🙃
@stevecampbell59286 ай бұрын
Very interesting video with this driver fitting. I have never had a driver fitting because I am so used to the small jumbo size grips that I use, I can't hit any regular size grips that are on the demo shafts. How would you handle that problem?
@epgolfstudios6 ай бұрын
We can use an air compressor to change the grip size on any shaft

We don't no, we don't really do that many aftermarkets in all honesty, the way the Cypher performed as a free stock shaft, the Vanquish is a huge amount more £££ and wouldn't perform any better

I have a cobra driver with changeable weight of 10g and 3g. I assume using the 3g weight will give me more speed. Is there other advantages or disadvantages on saving 7g? Or 7g can cause more spin?
@chrisfaliao46752 ай бұрын
Any reason you were trying out LST models for each brand? I had thought those are more for consistent ball strikers as they have smaller heads?
@epgolfstudios2 ай бұрын
I honestly can't even remember doing this fitting now..so without watching the video back it's hard to say 😂 but it's all about getting the numbers in the right window. From memory Sam was very straight but span the ball way too much and that was killing distance. So going LS to get spin down and help him increase distance. And the LS heads now really are almost as forgiving as the rest. That's mainly just marketing. But a lot of them can be more fade biased. So it's more matching the right head to your tendencies and just getting the right head and loft to optimize ball flight and distance.
@sully0105796 ай бұрын
Safe to say this driver could work for a mid handicap who wants lower than 3000 spin?
@robertjacobs45944 ай бұрын
I came because I have a similar swing speed and wanted to see which combinations improved the player. The lesson was the reason for the improvement. Bigger turn high hands slow the body down and let the arms and hands go. That's my take away from this. Applies directly to my swing flaws. Then do the fitting with the new increased swing speed.
@DuesGibGolfandLife6 ай бұрын
What is your club speed Ross?
@epgolfstudios6 ай бұрын
It definitely fluctuates depending on my physical condition, got a few back issues nowadays! But generally I’d say on course 114 - 117 - got up to 127 a while ago when speed training which is probably why I have back issues 😅

@@willfieldiii7150 it certainly does to the cost of the demo kit! The adjustability isn't as good on them but it just wouldn't be economical to have 7 of each shaft. Would cost an absolute fortune!
@willfieldiii71506 ай бұрын
No, absolutely. My local shop, gets in a demo of each head but then only a select few standard shafts from each brand. He does me a favour and orders in the shaft I want in my flex and weight, try it in the head we best fit but he has to glue it in a different adaptor for a different brand head if we feel it will be beneficial, a slight guessing game initially but one I can try before I buy at least.
