The scary thing i couldn't stop thinking about while watching this is that if you theoretically had a telescope that allowed you to look super closely at the surface of the Earth from this location, you would be seeing prehistoric humans from a world 16'000 years ago. Because a lightyear is the speed that light travels in one earth year, the light that reaches your retinas is from 16'000 years ago!
@davidwuhrer67042 жыл бұрын
Not to worry, because of light dispersion you'd need a telescope the size of a small galaxy to get that resolution, and it would still not catch enough light from Earth specifically for it to be visible.

@soiherduliekvideoz7 жыл бұрын
If you're doing a jump a minute, you should be doing roughly 2,000 LY per hour optimally. Are you doing a ton of scanning in between the jumps? I personally spend significantly more time scanning than jumping, but that's mainly because I feel like I'd get bored of exploration if all I did was jump and glance at the system map.
@jyrgenruut7 жыл бұрын
PonkaPone I have a 52Ly Asp and 2000 Ly/h is the speed I go at while honk-jumping. Virtually no FSD downtime since I start charging for the new jump while still inside the corona and fuel scooping. So I doubt he'd be able to get 2KLy per hour out of a 32Ly jump range...

2:26 So, it turns out that some of the black holes in ED is actually dangerous, because they're can cause a heart attack

This is just one of the many things that make elite so great. I swear the attention to detail in this game is incredible, and with the odyssey dlc coming out soon it’s going to just straight up do everything that star citizen was promising but better

Shit, I've only made it as far as 1.9k above the galactic plane, the view from behind me was terrifying but awe inspiring. Best experience in ED so far.

Roguey well being as realistically there is no sound in space, there would be no way to disturb the sound. In this game however, you can

Man you make the game seem like so much fun. When I play, I'm like "Ok it's going to take me an hour to do this, 2 hours to go here, 3 hours to finish these tasks and fuck I'm an hour late for work!" It's a grind to do anything. Even exploring you just want to bash your head in...

@Ghost Giraffe This video is almost 4 years old, but I just found it a few days ago. Now it's my favorite video from this game. I've probably watched it a dozen times already. I even shared it to some friends who had never played, and now I get to add them to my wing. I can't quite describe what I feel when I watch this, but I want to hold onto it. I guess really I just wanted to say thanks. I see you hadn't posted much in the last few months. I hope things are well, mate. Fly safe, Commander o7.

OMG this is so nostalgic. I remember watching this video when it came out, 7 years ago now! I miss elite, fell off with odyssey. Such a unique game, the reason I got vr all the way back then. a part of me wishes that it makes some kind of comeback but I just don't see the smarts or the passion from frontier, to be honest, I don't think they ever had much smarts to begin with and the passion ran out a very long time ago. I'm not going to go back to it, I think it's going to die. I'll shed a tear when it goes away forever, but like the death of an old family member, I've already grieved them.
