I've done hair for 10 years, and I will be honest, we make so little on product commission we don't tell you about it for the money. We tell you about it so you have the best style possible at home. You can't perfectly recreate that great salon style using suave. If you don't mind, that's fine , same goes for colour. If you pay $100+ for a colour and go home and wash it with Herbal Essences you can't expect the colour to stay. All we want is for what we do for you to last, and for you to love it!
@Ikajo8 жыл бұрын
+Theresa Cook Yeah, while that might sound nice. I would probably not be able to use any of the products you would recommend. See, I'm allergic to perfume. Especially through skin contact. And very, very many products are perfumed. So the soaps and shampoos I do use make it so I don't become read and itchy and very uncomfortable. Which probably the products you recommend would. So maybe you shouldn't be so condescending? You don't know what going on in peoples lives.
@SuperTheresaable8 жыл бұрын
+Ikajo that's when you tell your stylist the issues,and they won't try to recommend anything. I would expect a client to not hide that kind of thing from me. So clearly I wasn't talking about people like you.

Here's something most men need to know. When you say you want it short.. but not to short.. This doesn't explain ANYTHING. I always got the guy to take a picture of their haircut the day they get it.. then they can show the stylist that picture. Even if they don't want that anymore. Like say.. I had this 2 months ago, but can you keep the top longer.. or the sides longer.. Oh. 1/2 inch is the average hair grows a month. 95% of the time this is the case.

+iDanica8D I literally hate it when anyone touches my hair btw my hair stylist loves my long hair 👑
@OrangeEBIL8 жыл бұрын
I pay extra for the deep cleaning stuff. I have naturally curly hair and I hate washing it because it dries out and becomes brittle. I wash it at home sometimes but it doesn't deep clean it like the products they have. I didn't know it was such a bother. The stylist always seems to understand given my hair type.

It's health code policy that hair has to be washed at the salon.

+Brittany Byars ah. That actually doesn't sound right at all. :/ Site your source?

+Brittany Byars Lol who told you that I, personally, go there straight from the shower 😂 but there's nothing that official and a must for washing your hair there and most of the time you have to pay for it c:

also one of the things I really love about hairdressers is the gossip they know... my mum got some gossip about our village on one of her trips to the salon.

I usually talk to hairdressers so they know that I don't style my hair, I won't blow dry my hair, I won't bother putting products in my hair and I'm not interested in dying my hair. Yeah it grows back but I'm SUPER lazy. My natural hair is actually pretty colour and it's easier to manage if I just keep it clean and don't let it grow too long. I found being upfront about my incredible laziness when it comes to haircare does wonders for me. I get haircuts that work really well with my natural hair. They let see how it falls when it's washed and drying and cut from there. Personal stuff like hairstylist, dentist, doctor, gynecologist, it works better if I'm just upfront with them like my mother taught me. If I have no intention of following through with a recommendation, I just say it and they figure out a realistic plan that I will follow through on.

I've had the same hairdresser for almost 15 years. She's been cutting my hair since I was a toddler.
