I would just like to say this is my first fm and I was struggling with getting use to tactics ect... managed to beat Leicester 2-0 and Watford 6-0 away form home with West Ham, before this I was getting lots of draws or scraping 1-0 wins! So thank you! This videos have been so helpful as this game is so in depth!

Iv made 2 comments already on this amazing tactic. Here's a really good tip. If you are on a really long run and it's going great and you start to lose and draw games all of a sudden. My tip is to play a different formation for 3 or 4 games even if the results aren't great. Then go back to this formation. You will start to get good results again. This is the formation I use with Arsenal but I'd like to alter it, into a 433 in my second season. I play Özil in the no.10 but I want and would prefer a midfield three with either the AM or Mezzala alongside a BBM.

Works fantastically. The DLP just bosses every game. Occasionally get burnt on the flanks but otherwise this is the most fluid and enjoyable tactic I’ve used for years. Target man on support with an AP on attack seems to work beautifully. Happy to upload my version of this if anyone wants it.

Seems to work better with IF on either wing set to attack, FB’s set to attack, DLP and BBM on support with an advanced playmaker attacking behind a supporting target man. The link up play is quality.

It's a very useful tactic especially if you're just starting at a new club because it helps you find out where your players are most useful and from there you can tweak it abit. With a large pool of players like Croatia you should have lots of players who will perform well under this system.

This is more or less the tactics that is invincible for 2-3 years now... i have something really similar and often going season without defeat. I would suggest to give the player instructions for your wingers to mark the opposite wide backs... it is killing opponents attacks beautifully

Having some good results with this tactic on FM Touch on iOS. I’ve noticed the chance conversions % is pretty low. Tried ‘Work the ball into the box’ but it’s still low. It doesn’t matter too much as still often have twice the amount of shots as my opponent. I swear most of them are shots from a tight angle when it should be squared to the striker. Cheers for the tactic though and I’d be interested to see others.

I don’t know whether it’s a bug in the game play this year but the amount of times a player runs through and shoots from a tight angle over squaring it across for a tap in is very frustrating! Glad the tactics working for you though and appreciate the comment 👍🏻

@@fmscout this tactic worked on my arsenal save for first two seasons then went to shit im now more aware of tactical instructions since I started fm20 looking for the overlap may have been the downfall of the tactic because wingers weren't being as effective so I changed tactic during season 4 and I went on an amazing run until the end of the season but still couldn't save myself from being sacked

Love this tactic, not just because it gets results but it creates football/chances/goals that are great to watch. I started using it about 12 games into the first season of a save with Middlesbrough in the Championship, so not even a preseason to help embed it. Made no additions to the starting squad but finished with 105 pts and 15 pts clear of 2nd place. Into the start of the next season P3 W3, beating Newcastle 4-0, Everton 2-0 and Arsenal 3-1! Great stuff

i think this is definitely a bug. another one is the strikers dribbling the ball into the opposition keeper's hands/hitting the ball directly at the goalkeeper with extremely high frequency.

Match engine is shit in last 5 years and it will not be better because they focus on improving fucking social media handling, some stupid dynamics, and FM veterans keeps defending the game even they improve only things that don't have anything with the football. Veterans + no real competition, are the reasons why we will not get improved game in comming years.

It's because fullbacks get more space (ie Trent Alexander-Arnold making Xavi passes). Your advanced wingers will be closer to the opponents defensive line and the keeper sweeping. Try dropping the AMR/AML to MR/ML if you're having no luck with them while having 50%> possession

Good streak. Nicely done. I dont think youd be able to achieve those kind of results with a mid table to bottom half side playing this expansively though. I play 4-5-1, two sitting dms with a box to box mid. Play my widemen on the wing at home but often drop them back to midfield away. My full backs stay back, it makes my team very hard to score against - kind of like bear hugging / smothering the opposition 😂. Not really entertaining football but find this a really effective tactic.

@@jorgechibante2725 what formation are you using? 4-2-3-1 can be very vulnerable to counters through the middle. Try moving one midfielder to DM and move your Am to Cm for a 4-3-3 with FBs and it should be a lot more solid with even better movement!

Thanks alot for this tactic. Its amazing. I started as chesterfield in the vanarama (conference) league. I finished top with 96 points. Amazing. You still need to buy the right/good players and if you start with a low league team like me, a top class goalkeeper is a must. You will win alot of games by 1 goal with this formation, so its crucial to have a great keeper that makes important saves and wins you matches. Im now in league two. 2nd in the table. Iv played 26 games and have 50 points on the board. Im hoping for back to back promotions. As a side note, i used this formaton and used the corners and free kicks tips from another video. Put together they both work great.

I used a very similar tactic for awhile with the only difference being taht I put the RB on either support / defense so that the right side isn't too exposed and I play the AML as a Winger because of personnel decisions. I found it worked really well for awhile but the AI cracked it within a year or so and made their own tweaks against it. In particular, teams started playing with wingbacks which creates real problems for this formation (5-2-1-2 in particular IIRC... or maybe 5-3-2... can't remember which was worse for me).

This looks the basic tactic that Liverpool where using when i first started with them. I only changed Salah to Raumdeuter and used Mane as an Inverted Winger instead of Inside Forwards and won Community Shield, Super Cup, Champions League, FA Cup and League in first season losing only 3 games in total, including knocked out of Caraboa Cup in Semi Final by Man Utd.

It was quite inconsistent though but since I used this tactic everything started to fall in place. I wonder iwhat the effect would be if I changed the BBM to Mezzala and the AM to AP? Hey super random but I have been trouble getting tactical familiarity across the whole squad. The only bar thats not full on some players is the position/role bar. Pressing, passing etc have all been completely full for months. I feel like I’m wasting trainings focusing more on familiarity than growth as the bar barely moves regardless of playing time or trainings. Any advice on how to improve this?

After a big losing streak I decided to implement this tactic at bradford and won 5 games in a row. Okay, the 4 penalties helped as well, but seeing the tactic work on 2d is satisfactory. A lot of chances, however quite poor shot conversion. On the last day we managed the promotion at wembley in minute 89! But actually i'm kinda worried about next season as this seems a perfect tactic for a bigger team in the league, but i'm afraid that this is a kamikaze strategy when trying to avoid relegation. Do you have any suggestions on tactics after a promotion?

Hi, I am playing FM20 now. I have a problem with the game where when the season run until December and January time, my team starts to not perform. What I mean is they tend to play stupidly like stay still and let the opposition tackle the ball, cross the ball while opposition player is in front of him clearly the cross will be blocked. More worse is if my team leading like 2-0, only the scorers have 7.1 or 7.5 rating, others are like around 6.5. Now I play against Chelsea at away (Man Utd), no matter how I change the formation, tactics, players, I seem cannot win. I am not sure why? Is this a bug in FM20? If the game is totally simulated, I should have won at least one game by changing anything I mentioned. I am so confuse. I am sitting in front of the computer for 3 hours trying to win the match but the game seems not let me to. Any idea what happens?
