Nice video! Is the pressure transducer going via hose to the spark plug hole? How is the vehicle ignition working for that cylinder?

Yes used a compression gauge hose. Ignition coil is isolated.

@@ravifixall So you were not getting waveform while that cylinder was running? Because you had no spark. I was just wondering if this sensor could be used on a running cylinder (with fuel and combustion).

Hi Ravi. I always thought the 2000 series picoscopes were 8bit res. The specs on the 2204a say it's an 8bit scope. Am I missing something?

It is 8bit but The resolution of 2204A oscilloscope can be adjusted using the resolution enhancement feature in the PicoScope software

Do you believe that these Oscilloscope's frimwares & adjacent hardwares could measure the peak pressure of a runing engine say around 5000RPM i.e, if u adapt this setup in the glow plug hole of a diesel engine and run it on road or on an dyno🤔

No problem, if you have a capable pressure transducer it will mesure any pressure and oscilloscope will visualize it. Pressure transducer grab the pressure and send output voltage just around 0.5mV to Max 5V.

Hello, i have a Hantek 1008c which claims to be 12 bit. Would this give an acceptable pattern on it in your opinion? I know i need a Pico but learning alot wirh the Hantek and a 1 channel uScope. The Pico sure cleans the inage up though. Thank you

Sorry, I have no experience on 1008C. However I know Hantek pc base software is not capable to optimize its hardware. Try it with Hscope.

This is not a absolute pressure transducer. But it read vacuum and give us a good waveform on incylinder pressure test. I use it always. Have good result with 12bit vertical resolution supported oscilloscope. Do not buy it for 8bit resolution oscilloscope. Please note: also has 2ms response delay.
