Very helpful coach! I was wondering whether when in the power stance if I should switch which leg is in front or always have one in front (like the one that I stride with)? Thanks!

Hey couch is there a daily routine that could be done with these exercises? I’ve had a fractured leg for a few weeks and in a couple more weeks I have a travel league starting up.

Hey Coach, great content! My son is 11 and we warm up his throwing arm for about 15 minutes. When we go through about 40 pitches at 80 percent he complains his inner elbow hurts. I ensure we rest his arm. Any advise? Should he pronate after the throw? Or a video on how to protect young arms to keep them fun and safe as they grow? Thanks in Advance.

Hi Darryl. Thanks for all your support. To answer the question, yes, the shoulder and elbow would be pronating at the end. I would be curious to see his arm slot and body positioning throughout his delivery. Perhaps there is some timing issues in his mechanics. If he is dropping his arm slot at transition phase or dragging his arm that would cause some discomfort as well. Finishing with his thumb up instead of down could lead to elbow issues. Let me know if we can help further.

@@ARMPitchingDevelopment Thanks for the reply Coach. I think it's arm drag. He's trying to create more velocity by holding back. Timing for sure, I will monitor and keep his pitching days to a minimum. Probably best to have him work on some light strength training for now. Thanks again! Darryl

Hello I am a 14 year old jr high player I had experienced a lot of elbow pain.little did I know it Was from a weak shoulder my pitching coach recommended that I should get a pair of jaegar bands. And I looked up some exercises and my elbow pain is almost all the way gone and hopefully I can get back on the mound soon. And it has helped my throwing velocity a ton just from doing this for 6 weeks I used to be able to long toss 200 feet and I’m all ready it 220 so thank you I’m very grateful for arm pitching development.

Hey coach is there a specific movement that can be used to help increase the velocity of a softball pitcher with their underhand delivery?

Try working underhand pitching drills with Plyo weighted balls and strengthening the anterior and posterior cuff.

Great question. It applies to both. In the workouts Playlist I have a full 20 min workout with the jbands published.

How many should you do for each exercise ? Does the # change if its a warmup vs a workout ?

If you're warming up just go to a burnout on each one or until you feel like your shoulders loosened up. If you're doing it as a workout try three to four sets of Max on each or some variation in line of that.

Try doing 2 set @ 12 reps then alter it from there.

Try it for 8 months do it 3 to 4 times a week try to expect 3 to 5 mph gain

Start with 1 x max. If you want a more intense try 3 x max paired with some leg and abdominal exercises.
