"Learning is the most important thing in life" doesn't have to lead to "if you have even one B you're stupid". INTPs should understand that: a) people learn best when they aren't forced/rushed b) a bad grade could just be disinterest in the subject c) a childhood where their worth is in just being smart leads to a shallow, egotistical human being that leaves them more vulnerable to being broken/disappointed. Parenting style is also largely affected by the other parent (or lack of which) so what may be true for your case will vary for others of the same personality/aspirations.

I’m an INTP mommy and that IS me! That last sentence.. I’ve had that exact thought 😮 I’m definitely not the most maternal mother. I don’t look natural at it. My son was never even comfortable in my arms until more recently. But I think he just loves me more now and tolerates my awkward embrace. He’s almost 2. I give him his affection and he then returns to settle in with papa bear lol So far I’ve learned babies just need love and they simply learn you and love you back. I think to an INTP parenthood is another experience to live through and learn from. It’s a particularly fascinating and special one. It’s absolutely nuts!

My dad is an INTP and we only have conversation about science politics and religion. Never really talk about anything besides that. I would just ask him question after questions and he would start talking and explaining. Really cool actually but I wish we also could have convos about idk feelings or trivial stuff for a change. Learned a lot thanks to him.

As an ISTP, I would definitely consider leaving the kids outside for the night to teach them to be grateful, but the Childhood Emotional Neglect that might result would create negative long term lasting effects. And besides, talking to my kids about it would be a great way to mentor them on superior logical intellect.
