how to "flirt" as an INFP: NEVER. MAKE. CONTACT. don't even let them know you exist only stare and imagine what it would be like to date them
@dominikamestrovic76633 жыл бұрын
That's exactly how you attract an INFJ. 🤣 Than, after three years of staring at each other, and everyone else teasing us for being in love (hard denial) the INFJ will finally come to conclusion this pat position is a colosal waste of time and shock you with abrupt:"Look we both feel this shit, let's see if it works." You will be scared shitless, panic ensues, but nod in agreement...and soon find out we are cut of the same cloth and the fairytale begins. Or we both just stare and keep our mouths shut, till we're ninety and accidentaly find out we've loved each other our whole lives, and had no balls to act on it. Either or. No inbetween. 🤣

Unlike internet stereotypes it is actually not that uncommon. Mind you we ENTPs have tert Fe, so the stereotype ENTPs are actually the exception. Of course, we can be assholes, but if you actually met an ENTP is like a back and forth, as almost all types, you can see the middle functions in real time. You would see Ti and Fe, sometimes roasting and or disagreeing, and sometimes acting like an Fe dom. Of course, Fe can get unhealthy like any Fe user, but people wouldn't think an Fe dom is by default an asshole, or even an INTP is by default an asshole, yet for the ENTP for some reason people do. So you will know the average ENTP by the constrast often, of being an asshole and then super caring in a few seconds, going back and forth between both. Now what does happen with me, as an ENTP, where I can see what happened on the video. Is that with a crush I get somewhat nervous, which I rarely am. So I try to use humor to make my crush like me... but I can be a bit extra on the asshole side for some reason, trying to be funny. Then i realize and I try to be a bit more nice, but suddenly another roast comes to mind and because am nervous I would say it without any tact... often giving the idea I actually hate my crush, lmao. I often make my crushes hate me and they run away from me... but then I attract a lot of people that are not my crush. Sorry for the long text, I was going to make a simple comment, but Ne goes, "ooh add this, and this and then this" while writing it, lmao.

@@farrex0 bro.... I'm so like that too.... I like roasting but it's never in malicious its Because I like you.... I probably won't do it if i didn't. But sometimes there's this snarky little joke related to the person, pops in my head. And I've to say it.... Cause it's so hilarious in my mind...😂🤣. Sometimes I know it's going to hurt that person(though it's not intended) I can't stop myself😂.... Mostly I don't like to hurt people but actually make them comfortable and happy with me... And I get that.... writing down long comments because ne... Because I do that too...(as you can see...)Cause there's so much to cover... It could be important. Same thing with using humour to impress people or make my crush like me but it's doesn't go well... Try being the silent and strong type, people usually tend not to like us because of things we talk about and our opinions or the debating, fuck you attitude etc.... Plus we have Fe as our tertiary function and it's often well-developed. I've been too empathetic my whole life and deeply care for those I choose for my close circles and really understand people around me, usually better then them themselves which has been said to me way too often. ok, 2 things, the INTP was hilarious; and 2nd, again, we ISTPs are put in a box showing we have no personality. We have plenty of personality - we are just very careful when to show it. Whenever we "like" someone, believe me, we can be charming and outgoing. It's almost like a risk/reward deal with us - it's only worth risking exposing ourselves if we think it's worth it - and it takes a lot to make it worth it - a potential date is worth it. Although, yes, it might just start out with a dry, "Hello." haha
@dominikamestrovic76633 жыл бұрын
Agreed. INFJ here, in a relationship with an ISTP. You guys come off dry and cold at first, but I have never had anyone put in so much effort as my ISTP, when it came to convincing me he's my man and he's in it for the long run. Both our types have some things in common when it comes to relationship material. We dnt do dating. All in or nothing, superficilal stuff just doesn't make sense to us. Both are picky with potential partners, cause both are individual and independant enough not to spend time and energy on wrong person. We both need partner who will be our true north, but let us do our own thing and not get overly posessive or jelaous. He soon narrowed out on me, but I was the reluctanct one. That man spent eight months figuring out various tactics to break me and make himself irreplacable in my life. From finding out if I have a problem (car, plumbing, dog sitting, etc.) and making sure he was the first to arrive and help solve it, to finding out how I like to spend my time, and planning our dates accordingly, to baking me a cake, cause I love men that cook and placing candles all over his apartmant, the first time I came over for dinner, to buying me a bag he saw me glancing at once. He was picking up on everything to show me how much he sees me and wants to make me happy in any way he can. The way he invested his effort, time and patience is what made me give in. Honesty, I would have given up much sooner, but he made sure to take his time and check each of my "that's my man" boxes. Hats down to ISTP's. When they want someone, they will move the Earth out of orbit to get them. 😉

So fun fact. I met my wife in college by having an extremely heated debate about Thier Eyes are Watching God. I am talking day one ranting. We hadn't even had a chance to finish orientation. I hated that book with a passion and ranted about it in class. She was the only student who argued with me. I was immediately attracted to her. We argued for weeks before we started dating. She of course had to initiate. In general, I find people more interesting the more they argue with me. The more passionately the better.

Also sorry but there's NO WAY I would share my psycho-analyses with someone else! 😂 I Will however admit that I've (mistakenly) felt like others have a great intuition. It's the opposite of the doorslam, where we fling the door open too soon and share too much, because we're conviced we found another like ourselves. x) I hope I don't come off as harsh, it's not the intent! I really like your videos Kristin, and I really like that you take a more nuanced view of the different types with every kind of video, not just playing off the same stereotypes every time. I agree with your assessment here! I'm married to an INFJ, and while we were first dating, he was pretty reserved for just a bit, but as soon as I got him feeling comfortable enough to go deep (which is my total goal with every relationship as an ISFP), I totally experienced the Door Fling. And it was wonderful! Suddenly I found myself at last with someone willing to be totally vulnerable and just bond over everything together! We had a lot of shared experiences that previously no one else had been able to relate to, so it was extremely therapeutic for both of us to find that safe haven to confide in. Finally another sensitive "weirdo" to be real with! Hahaha! He's also helped me develop my Ni without his even consciously trying. All of this to say, spot on, I agree that the divulgence does not come immediately, but I think I could feel that he wanted to share from the beginning -- he was just cautiously waiting to know if it was safe to open up in that way.

I am INFJ myself but I would be very interested to know what the person thinks about me since my psychoanalysis doesn't work well on me. I would also share my analysis if that was the point of the game because there would be a clear context for that, that just would be an honest exchange of view points. But of course I would tone down it a lot to not sound creepy and unsettling and I wouldn't evoke the bad things if that was my crush. So I think the video is quite accurate about that.

As an ENTP I have to disagree with the insinuation that ENTPs are rarely nice. Personally, I pride myself on giving people elaborate, detailed and honest compliments. I do this with my friends, aquaintances and random strangers. I think ENTPs generelly notice the most random but likable things in their surroundings and people. And since it is in the ENTP’s nature to be quite outspoken we will definitly tell you. Admittedly it is quite unusual for us to give compliments on normal or general things but when we compliment you it will be specific, honest and direct. It is actually great fun to challenge yourself to be more precize or more elaborate in reasoning why you like sth. And it’s a wonderful conversation starter.
@LittleBabywriter3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, but compliments are not really something an ENTP would have to put a lot of effort to pull off. Considering that ENTPs are often very flirty in nature it can be taken as nothing special. Being overly kind honestly in the other hand, can kill a lot of relationships since people who like ENTPs usually are attracted to their wit and general chaotic nature and ENTPs being suddenly very kind is off putting for them. It is kind of complicated topic.

There's also roughly 30% due to blind-spot brought about by Fi vulnerability with 1/6th of that (5% of total) overlapping with the afore-mentioned accidental on my part only, 1/6th (5% of total) overlapping with partially-justifiable murder only, and 1/3rd (10% of total) overlapping with both accidental on my part and partially-justifiable murder, 1/6th (5% of total) overlapping with both accidental on my part and non-justifiable murder, and the remaining 1/6th (5% of total) not overlapping with any of the afore-mentioned categories. While I certainly don't mind discussion/debate, it's usually with people I'm already familiar with. If I'm interested in someone (e.g. trying to make a new friend), I prefer to mostly listen. I find it very interesting to listen to people talk without interrupting, redirecting or dismissing them. They get more unfiltered and more enthusiastic the longer it goes on, and I'm more likely to get their real thoughts on stuff. I suppose it's also because I tend to treat people the way I would want to be treated (before I know enough about them to be considerate to them personally). I get quite miffed and withdrawn (well, more than usual) if I get interrupted or redirected before I've explained myself enough. So I try to hear others out and think things through before responding. And they usually appreciate it, because everyone likes being listened to. For the most part I truly do find what they think about fascinating, but I may start to zone out if they're over-sharing their personal life or something. -INTJ

"basically indistinguishable from ENTPs" This is not true. If you only analyse the four letters it will look like the only difference between them is that one is an introvert and the other is an extravert. But that's not how MBTI works at all. You gotta look at cognitive functions, not the four letters. They don't share the same dominant cognitive function. INTP = Ti Ne Si Fe but ENTP = Ne Ti Fe Se. Not the same thing. An INTP is closer to an ISTP (they share the same dominant function) and an ENTP is closer to an ENFP (same dominant function).

My way of flirting was discussing how I thought the show was not good. I hoped he would make a stance and debate me on it but he never did lol I also suspected he liked me due to the constant staring (this would happen before I’d attempted anything with him). Some times I’d catch him and stare back but he wouldn’t do or say anything. We’d probably end up having staring contests if I didn’t put a stop on it by breaking the silence. But who knows. I confessed to him and asked if he felt the same. He said he only liked me as a friend. Now that I look back on the staring it kind of creeps me out.
