16 Pointer SPIRAL MANDALA Experiment v1 (tie dye)

For today's video I will be making a 16 point Mandala Spiral Tie Dye Version 1.0 using hot water irrigation technique, I just thought what if I combine Mandala and Spiral? Hmmm🤔 Interesting right? This is just an experiment though. I Hope you guys like it guys. Enjoy!

This has been my favorite fold lately. There's a lot of bang for the buck with it. It's gorgeous, everytime!

First time trying it and I'm surprised with the results.

@@meofaustino It's been my ' go to, ' lately. It never fails to produce. I have done it with liquid using a tall cylinder shaped glass martini pitcher that I have. I wedge it down where the tail part barely reaches the glass bottom. In a wicking fashion, the " tail " absorbs the excess colors as they start to deposit on the glass bottom. It's like a LWI, muck dye from there. I always apply my colors starting from lightest to dark. This keeps the wicking vibrant, instead of getting muddy. Love your tutorials. I'm working to perfect my Klink, now!

Going by the thickness of the fold i am surprised it got so much color i ecpected alot of undyed white spots..this is an awrsome shirt..i love love love it..thanks for sharing

I've been watching a lot of tie dye videos recently and a lot of people are doing the hot water irrigation technique which seems pretty awesome. But my question is do the colors stay as vibrant and as long as the traditionally dyed articles? I can't help but wonder if the extra hot water makes that much difference over the curing time? Do you know? Thanks! MEK

The vibrancy depends on how long you batch/cure it. The longer the better.. On the process make sure that you put a lot of soda ash because that's the reason for fabric and reactive dye to create the bond. about the extra hot water i don'r recommend it..patience is a virtue.

Meo i made this shirt today and i failed .. fold was easy and you listing colors was good. however i could not make out what colors went where on the spiral.on the video. what comes before and after the yellow[ the only color i could make out].. the brown and orange placement looked similar. i love this shirt and want to try it again could you post me the order of the colors. probably starting with the yellow would be best. so for example what color sits before and after the yellow where does the brown go etc. thanks for your time look to hear from you.

It's Chocolate Brown, Maroon Oak, Lemon Yellow, Deep Orange and Deep Blue..

Do you find that after soaking your shirt for 24 hours the fabric becoming quite weak and not lasting near as long as if you were to only soak it for an hour or so?

Same shirt..I didn't tied up the back part. I just roll it with the spiral..

isang side lang po..make sure na madami kayong nalagay na kulay, about half tsp to 1tsp per dye. para umabot sa ilalim..wag mo po kalimutan soda ash
