My cat sensed when I got cancer. She's been pretty freaked out since. I tell her everyday that I will always take care of her then she looks me straight in the eyes and telepathically says, "you better.... PS. I was living with roommates, roommates had a cat. Long story short, me and the cat became bros. I got really depressed 1 day last year and not only did the cat know, but literally as soon as i started getting teary eyed from the thoughts, the cat comes trotting in meowing, purring, finds his own spot on my lap and rubs his head on my arm. My thoughts instantly became positive again. Pets cure depression.

Cats know when you are sick. I suffer from very bad migraines. We were sleeping over at my son and his wife's place a long time ago. Their cat slept in the spare, guest, room. As soon as I put my exploding head down on that pillow, he was there, pressing his lovely soft body to my head and purring very loudly. All night he was there. If I turned over, he adjusted his position on my pillow and continued to purr loudly. In the morning that migraine was gone. That is an absolutely true story, and he was not even, my, cat.

She appeared in a dream of mine and actually, said, In English, in her little kitty voice, "I want to go home". I said I know. But can't you stay with me? She said a little sound that meant, she would if she could. At the end she had wet herself because she couldn't go to the sand anymore. I washed and dried her sweet little body and it is buried just outside my kitchen. She was only 9 years old and she died of kidney failure the vet finally said after all kinds of treatment that didn't work. I now have a lovely little kitten called Cricket, as she jumps into everything. Their little souls are sent to comfort us. The best is that they are aware of that.

One day I when I was picking up toys in the front yard and my Siamese cat jumped on my back as I was bending down. She had never done this before. In about 10 minutes we had an Earth quake, It was only about a # 3 intensity. A cats hearing is 14 times greater than ours and she could probably hear sounds of the earth. Cats are lovely animals and can be a great comfort when we feel sad. The cats purring has a certain pitch that has a healing affect on bones and wounds. I heard a story about the dog who had been injured and attended to by the Vet. The cat sat with the dog all day and purring and at also night. These lovely cats must know the purr is healing.

They have her away as she was 8 weeks... She had abreally hard time getting along with luna she was already 3 months so still a kitten as well. We devided them, Luna slept with me and Bacardi with my boyfriend in a room at this time. Some day I had to leave for a week for a couse and he sended me pictures of how Bacardi tried to get milk from Luna and Luna just took over the mother role I guess. He tried so much, gave Bacardi lots of cuddles and attention, but they were both just focused on me 😂 Bacardi is the cutest, needs cuddles ALL the time, when we say good night and go to sleep she almost comes every time on my lap or sleeps next to us, wants to touch, while Luna needs her space now 😅❤ I Love them both so much, they are so unique 🥰

She would get upset & meow incessantly when I so much as changed position. I was also depressed at the time from the trauma of the whole thing & lack of independence. I'll start by saying I had once a grey tabby named Kitty and I can attest that he knew me inside and out. He just loved people and had to be touching someone in some way! I like to think that I had an especially close bond with him though. 😁 I'll also say I have bipolar disorder and when I would have my severe lows he was always there rubbing headbonking and purring as if comforting me. When mad, I now notice he was always a safe distance away, observing me until i cooled off. He was always there for me. When I nearly died from having untreated pneumonia for a month at age 7, I remember he would sit on me and just purr insessantly. He was a wonderful cat and I feel he was my bestest buddy in the whole world. Knew me better and cared more than any human could possibly have known or cared about me. Sadly in 2016 he got ill over the years and we had to put him down... But to this day I still think about him, and am grateful for his years of unconditional love... I miss you my buddy...🥲

My Bessie was by my side last year when I became ill and I woke the 3rd morning with her curled up, looking at me with her paw lightly resting on my right arm. She had a concerned look in her eyes. I'd had the 3rd dream that ended in my death after the two previous dreams, (the first on the FrIday morning, ending in the near death of a pony, second one of a child's). I knew I had to phone for an ambulance. Talk about a gut feeling... She was by my side since I'd taken to my bed on the Thursday afternoon after I'd come home from work and rarely left my side. My neighbour came in to feed both cats and let them out. I lost Charlie whilst I was in hospital. He was ill and I had a video call to say goodbye. He responded and knew I was poorly. It was heartbreaking I couldn't be with him, but he understood that, I know he did. My lovely neighbour (who was 80 at the time) took him to the vets with her daughter and she looked after Bessie whilst I was away. I had an emergency operation for a twisted bowel and was hospitalised for 2 weeks. Bessie was waiting for me when I got home and leapt of her bed meowing, so pleased to see me. She's looked after me ever since.

Anyone who tells you that cats don't feel any affection simply never had a cat. My cat who passed away 3 weeks ago was more like a dog, he could open doors, he would meow if a door was closed, he would come to you if you called him, if I went away for a couple hours and came back home he would greet me with meowing and he would simply not leave me alone. My place felt so empty when he was gone, it's really hard to believe and it feels so surreal as if he's coming back. I cried more than when I lost a loved one, I really cannot explain it but I read about this on the internet and a lot of people had the same experience when they lost their pet. I decided to get a kitten after 2 days, he will never replace him but he looks a lot like him. It helped me a lot with the grief, I will never forget my cat and I still feel sad when I think about him but if I didn't got this kitten it would have been way worse. I gave him the best 16 years he could ever get.

How beautiful and touching what you share, Frank! 🐾💖 Cats have such a special way of connecting with us, and what your cat did by reaching out in that way must have been very comforting during such a delicate time. It's amazing how they sense our emotions and how they offer their support in such subtle yet powerful ways. Cats are certainly very special companions! 😻

Hi Janelle! 💖 It's truly amazing how our cats can be so intuitive and sensitive to our emotions. Their ability to offer comfort during difficult times is one of the most beautiful things about having a feline companion. It's wonderful to know that your cat is there to cuddle you when you need it most. Thank you for sharing your experience! If you have any more stories about him, I'd love to hear them!

That’s so true, Christopher! 😸 Cats definitely have a special way of communicating that can feel almost psychic at times. Their ability to sense our emotions and energy is incredible. It really is all about vibrations, and they’re experts at picking up on them. Thanks for sharing your experience-it’s fascinating how deep the connection between humans and animals can be! 🐾💖

I told her that I was fine, the video was just sad. 😂

@MyPisceanNature your kitty seems like a true guardian angel. 🐱❤️ It's amazing how in tune our pets can be with our emotions, almost like they have a sixth sense for our well-being. She's clearly very attentive and cares deeply about you, wanting to keep you happy and safe. 😊 Even if the video was just sad, it's comforting to know she's there to support you in her own special way. Hi and thanks! Memories past? Well one of many that impressed me much… One summer day, my big black and white tuxedo Moggie - bless him - and RIP…I found in the garden had caught a sparrow when I perchance came upon the scene …holding it quite proudly in his jaws and making it quite clear he wanted no interference- from anyone! Least of all from Joe Bloggs! Yet at the same time, he was being harried by a flight of four or five of his victim’s friends doing their top level best « to dive bomb » him to distraction - but not succeeding! - to make him release his hold (but not too close because he was no kitten either!). My assessment was that in all this quite noisy scenario, while conscious of the fact that his prize was very much alive he was probably in two minds as to a) what to do with it and b) how to stop it from escaping, and fully aware of the lively sparrows’ cheeping their noisiest probably telling their chum to do just what it couldn’t do! None of that worried Big Tim…all small fry as far as he was concerned! Still, their hearts were in the right place! 😇 Eventually managing to seize hold of big Tim and eventually get him to release his prize (not easy either, one hand to hold him from running away with victim but also to avoid making the situation worse because of his teeth (!) and also not to be to hard to upset Tim ie making him think I really was his enemy (heaven forbid!) and the other to try to ease his jaws away and lessen their pressure; definitely no easy job but I did succeed with much patience I have to say and the sparrow promptly became free to fly off to join its flock of friends and family and tell ´em all what it was like! As for Tim…you may guess - well he didn’t actually growl or scowl at me - or maybe he did and I didn’t notice 🤥… but boy was I in the doghouse where he was concerned for the next two or three days! Still, duty done and maybe he forgave me or more probably just forgot! I read all your comments and really enjoy - even ´rejoice’ if that’s a suitable word in the context, in the knowledge we are so many that delight in the company of our dear Moggies, bless their little cotton socks!

I remember I was watching a Dallas Football game a few years back. Zack was ready to take the last snap of the game, for a potential Hail mary. The cat jumped on my lap, and I pushed her off, fast! Well, Zack threw a 4 yard pass to Zeke Elliot. Poof. The cat was on another chair, and I got up to pet her. She hugged my hand to her upturned chest with both paws, and would not let go. Mine developed on the nerves, nerve roots, and peripheral nerve bundles of my entire spinal cord. It’s incredibly painful at times. When the pain becomes overwhelming and lying down is my only option my cat Rex, Empress of All She Surveys, comes and curls up over my heart and purrs her little heart out. It actually helps.

My husband sometimes makes sound effects as he talks, for example a bird's tweet or a car crash. Our cat knew whenever he made a sound that was not the English language, and her head would snap back and she would stare at him intently, clearly wondering "why is he making that odd sound?"

My recently departed cat had developed the concept of furniture repair. I had a broken hand in 2017, which prevented my from using my recliner properly, instead, i was forced to use the foot rest that had become the cat's bed. She got it back once my hand was out of the cast, which lasted about a week before the recliner broke and I had to use the foot rest again. A week and a half later, the recliner repair guy fixes the recliner and tests it, all the while being watched by the cat (from a safe distance). After he left, I went to get the pillow that was on the foot rest, only to have the cat race from her hiding spot and jump onto her bed, staring me down, clearly reclaiming her bed for herself now my thing was fixed. :D I'm afraid I have to disagree with "always knows where you are in the house". When my ex-wife and youngest went away for three months (visiting family overseas), I couldn't go to the loo without the cat panicking because I'd disappeared. I'd hear her meowing, I'd call out and hear her doing her weird meowing while running, to find her waiting just around the corner from the toilet door when I finished.
@HealthyandHappyPets3 ай бұрын
@gestaltdude Such endearing and funny stories! 😸 Your cat really had a unique personality and a very clear sense of what belongs to her. I love how she was supervising the recliner repair and wasted no time in claiming her spot. 😂 As for the 'mysterious' disappearance while going to the bathroom, it's amazing how cats can be so concerned about our absence, especially when they have such a close connection with us. I'm so sorry to see her go, but thank you for sharing these beautiful memories that bring a smile to our faces. ❤️🐱✨
