Gone are the days when we bought hot chips for a few dollars and it fed a family of 4 and large as your hand potato scallops were 5 for a dollar,yep how things have changed my grandad keeps telling me

Memory lane with the chips in the newspaper style. In the 60's in qld there was no chicken salt, but they put salt an a good splash of vingear on them.

They thought printer's ink added flavour or thought it was healthy on food? 😂
@MegaPixie6669 ай бұрын
@multioptioned The ink didn't start coming off the newspapers on to your fingers till the 1980's
@multioptioned9 ай бұрын
@MegaPixie666 Oh, I just read it always did but only ruled unwise and unhealthy to use newspaper in the 1980s. Are you saying they used different ink before that? More new laws coming in Australia too... Restaurants and takeaways, including your local fish and chip shop, will need to tell customers where their fish or seafood was caught. A labelling system will be introduced for use on menus, with “A” standing for Australian, “I” for imported and “M” for mixed origin.
