As one of two churches that is only commended, the church in Smyrna is encouraged to be courageous in the face of the storm of persecution that would soon befall it.

Love this series on the book of Revelation. The church needs this. We are all too complacent and need to spread the Love of God and the Word of God to a dying World.

Lou urenecks book on Smyrna 1922 is one of the best inspiring yet tragic stories in history. I recommend it for the heroism of a faithful Christian… love this series on revelation. It’s my second time around🙏🏼

Not sure what you mean, but i was an atheist and God began warning me against buddhist meditation. I started reading the Bible as a result in order to confront it. The Father revealed himself to me when I decided to ask Him to help me find the truth. It was the Father that led me to the Son. It took me a few months of great struggle as I was moved from unfaith to faith, and from repentance through conversion to new birth.

"Ten days" ties into the Paleo-Hebrew letter, "Yood", which has a numerical value of "ten". This letter also ties into Psalms 75: 8..."for in the hand of God is a cup..." Out of this "cup" comes both "blessings and cursings"! You are right, it is a limited time!

I have been listening to Prof.Gore' videos for nearly 2 years and I am so pleased that I have found him as I have learned a lot, however I couldn't understand how a historian like him when talking about Symerna couldn't/ wouldn't mention the great fire of Symerna in September 1922, that wiped out Christian population of the city, amazingly it lasted 10 days !!!!, sadly to remember that the great fire happened on full view of the British and other western warships , their captains were given strict orders not to save any survivors from the fire for fear of not respecting their " neutrality " I am grateful for all your sound teachings that is very deep and enriching, I only wanted to highlight the above point.

i listen to this mostly on double speed,, Bruce Gore is a valuable Christian Historian, i bought his book (1)... i wanted to see what Bruce said about he who overcometh will not be hurt by the second death.... Bruce encourages his audience and this i applaud him for.... however where is the warning?,, did i miss it?....he that overcometh, just as I Have OverCame ( says Jesus) we overcome the power of the devil, by GODS Holy Spirit, in Jesus Name,, this is who will eat from the Tree Of Life, him that no longer serves the devil.... be warned my brothers and sisters in Christ. he who serves the devil, will get there part with the devil and his angels..... in love & peace

I think winning a $ lottery would be a sign of reprobation. I mean, winning a cake in a PTA cake walk, or winning at a board game, no. 1). Putting faith in this world 2). Not Jesus 3). Also seeking power and glory. See the three temptations.

So I am really trying to immerse myself in these teachings I’ve been binging all kinds of post millennial stuff but I’m a Sabbath keeper, I keep kosher and “Gods Feast”. Post millennialism seems like it just makes sense I’m really trying to understand it. Just blows my mind that the most studious people can’t see the basic simplicity that Abba Yah does not change. I believe in Yeshua as the Messiah keeping Torah ( as best we can ) Now I’m trying to grasp it in a post millennial setting. 🤔 I find it fascinating. I just get frustrated when people can’t see that Paul was not saying to not keep Torah, even in 2Peter he says sometimes Paul‘s words can be confusing. Paul was a Pharisee of Pharisees. 1 John “If one says he loves me but does not keep my Commandments then he is a liar and the truth is not in him” last but not least every time you see the first day of the week in the Bible that is actually in the Greek “ Sabaton”which literally means Sabbath. First day of the week is not Sunday. The bias translators translated it as that. It’s suppose to be Sabbath. look it up. Why is fourth Commandment the only one he says to remember? Why would he change it to Sunday? I said my peace! Sorry I had to vent it! I’ve been binging these videos. Other then that I’m really enjoying them. Thank you! 😬🙏🏼

@@Spark_Iskra_z_Polski We are under a new covenant, sir. That's why Paul goes on about not circumcising, sabbath keeping and keeping kosher go hand in hand with that stuff which is all part of the old covenant. Each covenant comes with it's own conditions.

10 days = 3.5 years? Why wouldn't he use 42 months, 1260 days, or time times and dividing of times. These all show the same number in three different ways multiple times here and in Daniel. The numbers might be symbolic, but not for other numbers. There is no scriptural precedent for this at all. Making 10 days into 3.5 years is altering the text, sir.

If you are raised from the death in the first resurrection, how can you or need to be raised from the death again at the end? Do you realize how ridiculous it sounds to say that a live person who was already was resurrected, to be resurrected again?
@GoreBruce2 жыл бұрын
The precise phrase in Rev. 20 is 'have part in the first resurrection.' The first resurrection is the resurrection of Christ. Those who are regenerate 'have part' in the first resurrection (cf. Romans 6)
@MattKingsley-zy7dn Жыл бұрын
@maisoon Afaneh Revelation 20 : 4 " And I saw thrones and they that sat on them and judgement was given unto them; and I saw the SOULS of them were beheaded for the witness of Jesus and for the word of God .. etc" Believing throughout life and the resurrection of the SOUL are they who have part in it. That is the first resurrection. John 11: 25-26 "Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me though they be dead yet shall they live. And whosoever lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?""

Bruce, have to disagree with your premise that man has a free will, except, he does have a will to sin- R. C. Sproal
@GoreBruceАй бұрын
@@BlessedX10 I assume you mean R.C. Sproul? Augustin said that we have free will in the sense that we have the ability to choose what we want. What we lack is the ability to want what is right, an idea I learned from Sproul!
@BlessedX10Ай бұрын
Yes!! We do what we do because we want what we want. That’s correct. Also, we are so biased to and by sin that our choices are not made starting from a neutral place. Our choices are slaves to sin. My point is that we don’t have a true “free will” in an Armenian way. My wife and I have listened to about 10 of your series and have learned a lot. Thank you for your ministry. This is our second time with you in Revelation.

@@BlessedX10 thanks for that. I’m a bit mystified as to where I said anything that would suggest I’m a fan of free will in the Armenian sense. Can you help me out?
@BlessedX10Ай бұрын
17:08 minute. “…..Free choices of the creature” I’m sticking with Luther in what you quoted from “Bondage of the Will” writing. I don’t think Joseph’s brothers made a free will choice. They were lead by Satan, as you said. Jealousy, self-importance, revenge against their father, etc drove their thoughts and subsequent action. Their “goodness” and moral judgement couldn’t win out over their sin nature. So it wasn’t a free will type choice. They were dead to sin. Dead men are not free men. That’s all. Thank you again. I’d like to spend a Sunday in that room in Spokane at First Pres. I’m 74 and fully accepted the Reformed position on Oct 31, on the 500th year anniversary of the Reformation. What a Day!!!
