Sad to see the ex Cotton Mill in such a state. Usually the undesirables set such buildings on fire. If it was located near London it would have been converted into expensive apartments years ago.

I think that will be the plan to be honest. Said to Paul on the day that they are rife for conversion.

Your boat with the cruiser stern looks very nice. With your amazing art skills why would you need a decorator painter? It would be nice for you to tell us what engine or electric drive you are putting in. For me lots of solar and lithium Ion batteries with an electric drive would be the way to go. A small generator for dark winter months would solve winter problems. I would also have one portion of the upper wall not tilted in so I could have a normal large household fridge instead of the tiny under counter motel fridges so often on narrow boats. The last thing I would want was an AC unit for at least the bedroom for hot summer nights and days. Here in Israel where normal summers include 40+ temperatures, AC is a must but I have seen on other narrow boat channels in England where temps have exceeded 37+. Good luck on all your adventures, please stay safe and healthy.
@anthonysmith-storey92474 жыл бұрын
Some of them ideas would be amazing. Unfortunately, AC would be very hard to power. The engine is a Vetus engine and the solar set up is great and produces power in dim light. 😄

When was your last tetanus shot? Maybe get one if needs be, I know it wasn’t rusty but you never know what’s living in the canal water, rusty fittings along side. I ended up with blood poisoning because I was overdue, hadn’t realized . I nearly ended up in hospital while on vacation at a beach cottage with six kids. The doc drew a circle around the redness, told me to soak it and rub it to get things moving and said if it moved outside the circle I had to go in hospital. I didn’t even remember what I’d punctured myself on but it must have been rusty. The new house is looking well turned out thanks to your hard work. 👍🏻 Lovely to see your parents , what do they think of you giving up land living and moving aboard? Great pictures of progress on the boat, it’s like a big model kit at this point, insert part a into part b , getting exciting now. I like Morning Star as a name, though that’s when morning glories open, they close up at night and reopen at first light and are one of my most favourite flowers. Good luck with the reno , it’s surprising what paint and a little cleaning can achieve. Hopefully you can find appliances that work well but aren’t too expensive. I’d love to find a top loading washing machine in good shape, the more modern front loader is a pain in the butt, the computer isn’t necessary , it just gets confused all the time and refuses to work. The older ones you just plugged it in, ran the waterline, and off it went, two or three settings and they worked for too long for the industry I guess. Make it so it breaks faster so people have to buy new more often. Our old one never stopped, cleaning for six active kids and two adults, just kept going and going. This one is two years old and constantly spitting out error messages. 😂🤣. Take care of you all, be safe and well.🙋🏼
