The Lambo is lighter with higher power to weight ratio but GT-R have shorter stroke and closer gear ratio, that means the engine can spool quicker and burn more fuel for much urgent power.

This is why the GTR called Super Charge. It's a muscle car, it have shorter stroke and short time transition between gears. So they can produce more right at the moment power, and win a drag race. And nobody using sport type car to do drag, they go muscle, super charge but not turbo engine.

I'm a Lamborghini Fan Boy and can Accept defeat. The reason why the Gallardo lost is because of its driver. Common the horse power difference is so humongous that the GT-R is about to lose. The race is short if the race could have been longer like 1 mile or more it could whoop the GT-R's ass. The mechanics of Gallardo should have made its gear ratio shorter and made the traction of it much higher for a short distance race. Credits to the GT-R and its whole team.
