It is Great to see you again. You are absolutely right about other mine explorers. They often just walk past the graffiti and interesting items and if they do look at an old ore cart, they are not as knowledgeable as you are about the years that cart was used by its construction. I often have to Yell at my computer,,,,Frank of E A M says that cart is Riveted so I Yell the dates at them. They explore the Dry Aired mines of the California, Arizona and Nevada deserts. They worry about using the Bone Dry Ladders and won't crawl through an open space. If I was 10 years younger (71) I'd be there with you. Thank You for bring us along with you.

Great video Frank as you know I have told you I'm a coal miner, we were working a old works mine (late 1800's) pulling some pillars after we had finished up a section last week and the timbers and cribbing that was left by the old miners was popping and cracking which eventually caused the top to come down ,while we were at a safe distance and we would tram the miner in take a little out of the pillars, back out and wait. That's one scary ass feeling knowing there's a mountain on top of you and hearing it moan along with watching the cribbing buckle then let go! Have you ever heard any of those noises while exploring? @27:05 looked like you was in a section that was rich with ore

The grease paddle and the little skip car were pretty neat. Frank the amount of time you hovered round the ladder - I thought you were going to talk yourself into risking it, so glad you didn’t. WOW what a super find - loved the carbide lamp - you deserved that find as the only explorer who will squeeze through the smallest of gaps. Oh boy that rotten, soft section did not look stable, I held my breath as you navigated through there. What were those formations; they did look unusual. Enjoyed the "Frank got side-tracked adventure" thank you for sharing. Take care and stay safe. 👍 👍 ❤️

19:49 That's a bushy tailed woodrat. They have large round ears and of course bushy tails, almost squirrel like. They are excellent climbers, occupy a wide range of habitats, from boreal forests to deserts. Their preferred habitat is in and around rocky places, so they are often found along cliffs, canyons, talus slopes, and open rocky fields. They readily adapt to abandoned buildings and mines. Unlike the common rat, bushy-tailed woodrats are way more exciting to see.

Theirs exploded illustrated view manuals floating around the web of them with the PN’s. The carbide tins that were worn on the helmets ya know the small flask type are hard to find. Anywho... pretty extensive workings by the looks of things. Old collapsed cabins can hide some pretty neat stuff, I’ve found canned vegetables in mason jars, unopened liquor bottles, complete set of enamel cook wear still in the box, tons of cast iron those are pretty common though. Cast iron pot belly wood stoves which I’ll take over anything those bastards are built like a locomotive. Thanks buddy

Some mines are chuck full of artifacts. Others have light pickings. There's a mine in South France that was abandoned somewhere @ 1992. If you bypass the fences and get in, it's as if they left yesterday, minus the water damage and some light dust. Walkie Talkies, light duty atv like vehicle at the entrance, boxes of cutters and machinery, even a clothes rack with the workers' jackets and caps. And no, i'm not disclosing it, very few people know it, and considering the state, we're perfectly ok with preserving it as it is.
