What is the belt cleaner made of
@oldave1006 жыл бұрын
Just some kind of rubber I think. You can find them anywhere woodworking supplies are found. They're very inexpensive for what they do. We have them in our amazon store.

I'm a new subscriber and I've only watched a couple of your videos (and am looking forward to more). I see that you use multiple routers. Can I do complete signs with a Dewalt trim router, or do I need to invest in another more powerful one for the larger areas?
@oldave1007 жыл бұрын
Hi Tim, thank you for subscribing & watching. Yes the dwp611 will do everything but some of the heavier operations eventually I would get a bigger router for. Otherwise if you start making lots of signs you may wear out your little trim router. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other specific questions I can help with, eric@makeawoodsign.com.

What primer was you using? I believe you said Kraylon but is it for metal or wood.
@oldave1009 жыл бұрын
+r3_woodcraft It's Rustolium. You can see it on several of my videos. I really don't if it made for metal or wood or both. Check out Newsletter #130. I show a close up of the can. Hope this helps.

I'm considering getting a DW611. I currently have a Porter Cable 690lr. Would the DW611 be leaps and bounds better due to size or would that money be better spent on bits and lumber?
@oldave1005 жыл бұрын
I like the small routers for carving, but I carved signs for decades with the bigger routers. The 690LR is a great router and will do everything you need. If you have to pick the bits and wood are FAR more important than the router.
@MrDirtysteve755 жыл бұрын
@@oldave100 thanks for the quick reply. I've got an assortment of bits, but there are some others I'd like to get. Same with lumber, you can never have too much. I think I'll try the 690 for a while, then get the 611 later. That way I can leave the 690 in the table and not dismount it so often.

Great vidoeo , Love that a farther and son works together. How do I get the router guide like you use for my bosch palm router the colt PR20EVS. Thank you.
@oldave1008 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching. I'm not sure what you mean by Router Guide? Are you referring to the template guide for cutting board shapes? If so, you might check with Bosch, they probably have one. Hope this helps. If you have more questions you can email me eric@makeawoodsign.com.
