I’ve been saying this for the past 6 years this guys been in college. He is a great regular season wrestler because he stays in phenomenal condition year round. Other wrestlers peak in March so he no longer has the advantage in conditioning and other mat skills. His strengths go away and he can’t win the close matches he’s lived by in his career.

@@andrewslavin7963, no. They just signed a contract extension, with a raise, through 2028-2029. And the team will really SUCK next year because most of the current team is in their last year. And it will be hard for them to recruit top wrestlers because they see how their wrestlers underperform at the NCAA tournament.

At least Marinelli can take solace in that he didn't blow it as a #1 seed this time and still has the chance to match his seeding. Too soon maybe, but that's the first thing I thought of when I saw he wasn't going to be a #1 seed: "Well at least he won't be the #1 who choked again."

Cenzo was the only guy marinelli took seriously and that was his weakness. So focused on beating Cenzo Joseph instead of just improving his technique to beat everybody. There’s a reason Joseph always made it further than Marinelli at NCAAs.

It’s happened every year he’s been in college. He is a regular season wrestler. He is great in the regular season because he stays in top shape while other people are fine tuning their conditioning and other mat skills. That’s why come March when everyone is peaked he can’t win it.

It’s easy to understand if you’ve ever been in that situation. Actually, you can see it pretty clearly from another angle. Ref #3 stepped off to the side to see if marinelli’s hand was on the mat. But ref #1 couldnt tell, because he had a bad angle on the action. So ref #3 grabbed ref #1 because he wanted to make sure that ref #1 was well aware that he thinks he has a really great ass, and that he was very attracted to him in that moment.

Amine wanted the handshake to take place in the cneter of the mat with the arm raise for a nice photo opp, instead of giving Marinelli the opportunity to run off the mat and avoid being in the center while the arm raise takes place.
