I'm not sure if this channel is still alive, but I just wanted to say that I've enjoyed your videos - they taught me a lot. Where would you recommend I go from here to try to improve my game even more?

I would play real money online. Find a trust worthy site. I started playing 27 seat and 45 seat regular speed SnGs in 2008. At $5.50 and $11.00. These are great because you play 9 to 2 handed really often, and that's where all the MTT equity is earned if you want to jump to that format! Once your EV is 120% buy-in after rake, climb. Turbos are harder, bc pros are there trying to make a better hourly. You can reg $109 27/45 seat turbo SnGs and make pretty good money ;)

Is it worth counting A-2 to A-5 as possible straight connectors, or is it still not worth it because of the low kicker?
@brenthill32416 жыл бұрын
The biggest caution I exercise is to reflect on the possibility that I'm not the only one with an ace in a 9 or 10 handed game. Therefore the kicker is crucial. With 198 combinations of an ace or Aces out of 1326 total the probability is that in 2 orbits 3 people will have an ace. On the other hand the tricky part is not being too much of a nit and throwing away an ace just because you think you may be out kicked.

Shoot, I wonder if your comment is what inspired me to revisit the channel. Seeking crypto donations as a starting point. Wallet Addresses in every single video description as of today. Planning to do a new video for each $100 USD equivalent raised in total, no donation too small to count. Should be a fun way to dust off my drawing while talking skills! (I switched about 10 more videos from private to public this week, so 100% of what I've recorded to date is now freely available on the channel.)

@@pokerphdio excellent news . I appreciate you need to generate income from the time you invest, lot has changed over the last few years , online poker is booming and could possibly go main stream due to the lockdown You will have a much bigger following once you start pushing again, Maybe some new content formats like hand reviews that Doug Polk did or playing back tournaments analysing cards up final tables and course your original format of teaching which is totally amazing

Where are pocket 9's or pocket 7's in this video? (I am just wondering maybe I missed it?)
@richardlafleshe40564 жыл бұрын
Same question I had
@ChristheCannon14 жыл бұрын
9's would be 10% due to its 8's+ and 7's would be in 20% due to its 5's+.
@St3.2 жыл бұрын
Mistake: pocket pairs would be in your hands 1/13 hands not 1/17. This is because 169/13 is 13 not 17. Great video though!

ur almost on the right track, however you have to take into consideration that you are less likely to get dealt 2 of the same rank, because theres only 3 left in the deck max. lets just do some basic math. 52 cards in the deck, first card you are dealt doesnt matter, lets say its guaranteed to be an A. 51 cards left in the deck, 3 aces. 51/3 = 17. 1/17.
