Culturele industrieën zoals muziek, kunst, mode en literatuur zijn een belangrijke motor zijn voor economische ontwikkeling zegt de prime minister Motley. Ze pleit voor de ontwikkeling van infrastructuur en het beschermen van intellectuele eigendom om creativiteit te benutten. In Suriname zijn we juist trots op het feit dat we Sasur vleugellam hebben gemaakt. Creatieve talenten dienen ondersteund te worden om hun werken te produceren, distribueren en te monetariseren. Een krachtige speech met een oproep tot het erkennen van cultuur als een kracht voor economische groei en opbouw van de Caribische gemeenschap. Respect!!!!!!
