This week, a story of courage - the kind you need when dealing with disfigurement from an "acid attack". These vicious assaults don't only happen on the Indian sub-continent - they also occur closer to home - in cities like London, Brussels. And even here, in Canada. For more info, please go to www.global16x9.com.

+Kim Lowe That's stupid and reactionary. Do you know how easy it is to make your own acid? If some monster wants to do this, they will make acid if they can't buy it and there are plenty of legit uses for this stuff.

This is beyond horrible... In a way, this is worse than murder. Forcing victims to live out their entire lives with the consequences of your actions... and it's worse than rape, being that those consequences are completely publicly displayed.

+Ravyn Skye Saying that something is worse than "rape" is a nonsense and a spit in the eye for the victims of rape. If you haven't been through it yourself, don't use it as a comparison. It's an act done by misogynists, which is why the victims are exclusively female. Condemn the misogyny, not try and grade one form of humiliation with another.
@starquant
@starquant 8 жыл бұрын
Ravyn Skye I don't need a sermon from a foul mouthed idiot. If you had been a victim of anything, you would have learnt enough from the experience not to draw parallels. You would have learnt that everyone's experience is different for a start. You bring idiocy into a whole new dimension. Grow up you stupid little girl.
@RavynSkye617

starquant - Perhaps you'll think about that next time you try to lecture or 'give a sermon to' someone on YT, and make a total ass of yourself by making assumptions about their life experiences.

Very disturbing video, but even more disturbing (and pretty disgusting) is the way the victims are being called. Saying they look like/or are 'monsters' , 'one of the walking-dead' is truly inconsiderate and disgusting. Shameful tbh.

I am in awe of these BEAUTIFUL & UNBELIEVABLY STRONG WOMAN! For them to keep going and not let their hopes cease to exist. I know my injury of being a paraplegic from a car wreck (at 19, and currently 26 &1/2 yrs old) is in no way an equal comparison to what these women have suffered through and will carry with them for the rest of their days. I do know and understand the horribleness of depression, the anger, the grief, the sadness, and also having to accept that they may never be the person they were before. From my own experiences, it can take a really long time to get any feeling of even the slightest bit of being "normal" again. As well as, the fact that people (especially children; usually them just being curious of something they may never have seen or had explained to them previously) are, more often than not, going to stare and be rude, even if they may think what they are doing and the questions or comments they may ask and voice would not be harmful to the souls that live inside of these bodies that were forever changed. It's different for each individual that may be dealing with going through their own personal private hell!!!! My personal beliefs are that I truly have faith that my Savior, Jesus Christ, has a purpose for my life with the strength He has given to me in these past 7 years of living life in a way and form, I never in a million years imagined myself being in! It's been really hard and been a true test, navigating myself on this "up hill battle"!!!! But like they all say "WHAT DOESN'T KILL YOU MAKES YOU STRONGER!" !!!! & I'M A FIRM BELIEVER OF THAT!!! Looking back, I know I'm a much stronger person all around, & that I wouldn't be the driven, motivated or loving and compassionate 26 yr old woman, that I'm soo very blessed to see when I look in the mirror today! PLEASE, TRY NOT TO TAKE WHAT YOU HAVE BEEN GIVEN IN LIFE FOR GRANTED, even something that can seem so simple and small as just walking and having the use and feeling of your entire body! I really pray that our "fellow human beings" all around us will become more grateful for all the things we can still do, including myself as well! BC I AM WELL AWARE OF THE BLESSINGS, THAT I MYSELF HAVE BEEN GIVEN!! This is one of my favorite quotes of all time - "WE ARE NOT HUMAN BEINGS HAVING A SPIRITUAL EXPERIENCE HERE ON EARTH, WE ARE SPIRITUAL BEINGS SIMPLY HAVING A HUMAN EXPERIENCE"!!! Can't we all at least give it a try to have peace with one another, I truly believe it would really feel soo very WONDEROUS & ULTIMATELY REWARDING TO OUR SOULS THAT IN DESPERATE NEED OF A REST FROM STRESS!

Some blame the devil, some blame their childhood, some blame mental disorders,hate and jealousy. I do not understand how or what people like this are thinking, I dont think any sane person can. But one thing is for sure pure evil are greatly to blame. Look at child and animal abusers, rapists and murderers, In their mind their actions are rational. Even the best psychologist cannot completely understand these kind of people. One thing is for sure they should not be allowed to walk free on the streets. Sometimes even death are better than life.

And up till today, Patricia lefranc still hasn't gotten a proper facial reconstruction??? Why? Why bother showing her a photoshopped image of what she might look like and not getting even a single thing done? Ive tried google but apparently it seems like they're hiding the fact that they didn't do anything for her. All that old ass doc hope for is people to forget what he said to Patricia. At least try to put in effort like what he did to Katie. Is it because she's a model/ celeb, she deserves more recognition? Patricia, stay strong. You're an angel for being pure and strong.

I no longer look the same and it's hard to look at myself sometimes. I'm glad to know that the attackers were arrested and put behind bars, but jail time is not enough. Police forces recorded 340 incidents in the first six months of 2016, meaning that the number of attacks is likely to have significantly exceeded last year’s total of 408 and has already eclipsed the 206 attacks that were recorded in 2010.

To buy the chemicals our universities use, we go online and order it, so Im sure people can do that as well. Concentrated 100% sulfuric acid is horrible, as Ive got a couple drops on me and it burns right through. Of course, Im in charge of lowering the concentration before lab usage.

i swear, we, women must go and tolerate such abuse at the hands of some "supposed" men! i was a volunteer to a women's abuse counseling refuge-and the women who came in-had gone through abuse that to me, at first-i could not accept having happened. many of these women, though severly hurt-would often gone back to the abusers-beleiving they were loved. "but what kind of love, is that?" we'd often ask-however the women did not know.forr me, it became terribly frustrating to not be able to convince these victims-that "love" was NOT getting hurt, epecially in the worst of cases.

Reminds me of a girl I once knew. Beautiful girl. Mindy. In a case of mistaken identity a jealous boyfriend thought Mindy was his cheating girlfriend in the backseat of a car at a shopping center. He three a Molotov cocktail in her lap. Sad story.
