If I am not mistaken Enermax came out with the Vegas fans sometime around 2008-9. I believe they were the first to have that spiral effect. I had no idea they still made these. I used to have a few in a build back when.... still have them actually. Are these old stock or do they still make these.?? I am a fan of the ring light fans ... as all the rainbow stuff gives me a headache and I find pretty garish. But everyone has their preferences. I will usually use a static color on my ring fans. Some of these are pretty crazy looking though, I thought I had seen every variation, but that zig-zag one was cool. Aerocool always made kind of "gamer" type cases and fans that were more ridiculous than functional. I was surprised to learn that they are the parent company behind the newish APNX brand. They released some pretty interesting cases recently, and some fans that have a reversible blade called the APNX FP-2, that has an anodized metal frame. I bought a few ... they started out at 30 bucks a pop in Jan. now 5 bucks on Amazon, so I assume they are not selling well. Anyway sorry for the rant... just brought back some memories. Good video though.

Thanks! I'm debating whether I need to show all the 4-corner, plain-Jane, LED fans since there's almost no variability amongst them. The only value would be that people would see that there are a lot of choices for those ancient fans. What do you think? I will be doing at least a couple more light-oriented comparisons since I still have a stack of single- and double-ring fans, and some more ARGBs. I'm not sure which of these fans are still in production. Sometimes, I find things and then they're not in production anymore or the company removes the info on their website, but they're still being sold by vendors. I took a quick peek at the Enermax website and it looks like at least some of those fans are still in stock there. I don't think that was a rant - Steve at GN loves to rant! I'm glad you shared your preferences, actually! Are those APNX FP-2 good?

@@ThePCExpertAmateur It depends... They are powerful, but loud as F**k. Three of them broke just trying to pop the blades of to put on the reverse. That seems to be the issue. But the other 3 were fine. I don't know if the company is going to make though. I did buy their new case " APNX V1 wood " It is pretty awesome. Keep pumping out these vids, I love looking at these old fans in particular.

@@KaosII1968 I just put out another comparison with 15 old basic LED fans. What do you mean the blades popped off trying to put them on the reverse? That V1 looks interesting but for $140, I can't afford to buy it. I've already spent too much over BF and, with surgery 10 days away, I'm going to have to stop in case things go badly with my employer.
