@@RaynaRain Yessss. I'm in Queens and that Red Hook Ikea can be a 2 1/2 hour journey - one way ! Especially because I haven't seen their downtown brooklyn shuttle in years, so sometimes I take the ferry to the train to another train. lol - nyc - where you travel by land, sea, and tunnel.

That LÄMPLIG hack was great advice. I didn't use it to cover my sink, but I put it over tile countertops that I'd like to replace but can't afford to right now. It turned an uneven surface that was hard to keep clean into a big clean workspace that I use every day

I always use my IKEA bags as laundry baskets really neat that you can throw them down the stairs with your laundry in them

I have something similar to an ikea bag that i got in a local supermarket something like 20 years ago, it's survived moving to the Netherlands and I still use it as a laundry bag now and then, currently it's holding some cardboard that is waiting to go in the recycle bin.

Glimma and other candles. We cannot leave Ikea without candles, we always need them in all colours. The resealable bags are also great for travel.

100% agree on the large frakta bags, they are fantastic! We mostly use them as laundry "basket"s, and we actually ordered a dozen online the other day coz they kept going walkabout and we no longer live in easy driving distance to one of their stores..

I love the Ikea bags, i don't buy them every time but we have 5 and we use them in the garage a lot. I also love their dish brushes that have a suction cup on the bottom. They're so cheap and last a long time but I buy like 3 every time I go. The last time we went a few months ago I bought 3 and when I put them under the sink I was like, OMG I have 6 already lol. They last so long that I change it out about every other year and often I'm changing it because I've scrubbed something gross that won't come out of the bristles lol, but I won't need to buy any for a few years since I have 9 now haha. - I love the knobs you put on the dresser. my hubby has the same dressers and he has just the regular knobs, we keep talking about changing our bedroom set since i have the MALM dressers and he has the HEMNES and they're different colors lol, but I said I wouldn't mind switching mine out to his style, i would totally change the knobs on them if we do.

I recently had to redo my whole kitchen (thanks to a flood) and have all different size drawers and cabinets now. So I'll be measuring and looking for those organization items. I only live 3 miles from Ikea but it still takes nearly an hour to get there on public transit because I have to transfer. I usually do transit there and then Lyft back - so as to keep those meatballs frozen. :) Always have to stop by the "As Is" area just to look for extra bargains.

I did enjoy the fun variety of IKEA offerings. Haven't been to IKEA in a decade. You sound very excited about them, makes me want to shop for random things. I have misophonia and struggled with the too-frequent use of "really" and " Reallyreally" though. I will subscribe anyway.

Thanks for your "best of" suggestions, now I want to throw away all of my towels which do a crappy job of drying & go buy Ikea towels. Love the kitchen towels, I gotta get me some. And the bags, YES! Yeah the ziploc bags, and the kitchen scrubbing brushes (for dishes) which always come in great colors and last forever! And their dinner napkins are so cheap and so high quality!

The little skubb boxes! I love them. My daughter’s drawers and mine are perfectly organized thanks to those. They collapse nicely so they can be tucked away easily if you don’t need all of them - until you do and need to back to ikea for more 😅

I just checked that small wardrobe, they‘ve got it in Germany - and it costs 40$ less. I always compare the prices in NL and D and see where stuff is cheaper.
