Amazing skill. A couple of weeks ago I didn't even know that videos like this existed, now I'm watching them all and fascinated with the process.

Excellent video. However picking euro locks upside down set my OCD off real bad XD Keep up the good work.

Great video and nice dimple lock with very good feedback. Thank you.

Thank you. I really enjoy picking locks with such clean feedback. To be honest, though, I was really disappointed with this lock. It didn't put up much of a fight (except in gutting).

Great picking! fast, clean and very controlled. About de gutted... I have a lot to learn from you about that ;-))). A pleasure to watch, as always. Thanks for sharing.

Great picking as always! Just wondering if that ball bearing was for construction keying rather than anti-drill. Did you find any small holes on the plug where it could end up in?
@lockpickinglawyer9 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I had never heard of construction keying until now... I just looked it up. You can see where the ball bearing goes around 7:00-7:10 on the video. What do you think? I think you are right. Thanks for teaching me something new!

LockPickingLawyer Could be, if its in line with a chamber.. its hard to tell. Not sure where you sourced the lock but if it cam from a large deployment of a master keyed system on a new build.. it could well be that. Often, there are left overs from jobs like that that wind up on fleabay.

I have gutted a few MTLs with ball bearings popping out and I could never find where they go. It's not an anti drill feature. It's for construction but still could not find where it goes inside the lock.

l0ckcr4ck3r I got this lock from ebay, but it was NIB. Possibly an leftover, but definitely unused.

Just looking again... You can see at 8:08 that the bearing hole is not lined up with a pin stack. It's between 3 and 4 on both locks. I'm back to being confused.

Great pick bud. I wonder why the steel pin is in the last position. Usually steel pins are for anti drill protection in the front of the lock. Or maybe it's for drill protection after you've snapped the lock lol.
@lockpickinglawyer9 жыл бұрын
Papa Gleb Thanks. I see what you mean. I never checked to see if it was steel... It could be nickel silver. Of course that's used for wear resistance, and the back of the keyway is the last place you need wear resistance. It's a mystery. Maybe they ran out of spooled brass key pins the day they made mine?

@@lockpickinglawyer The "steel" pin is the one that is not present on the inside, right?
@Corsaka5 жыл бұрын
@@aogden-smith6130 the steel pin was pin 7, visible by the fact that it's a different material, which you can see during gutting at 6:45.

Why does this lock have a keyway on both sides? It doesn't make sense that both sides of a door would be locked. I have never seen a door where both sides take a key. Someone please explain! LOL.
@termivan5 жыл бұрын
in europe usualy all dors can be locked and unlocked from both sides with a key. dont know why tho. maybi because when you leave the key in the lock you cant open it from the other side
@rem45acp5 жыл бұрын
@@termivan Ok thank you for answering my question! It seems like many of the door locks he picks are designed that way. It's just not a thing in the USA I guess.
@alecw70635 жыл бұрын
rem45acp there is such thing in the USA but it violates a lot of fire codes, as if there’s a fire you can’t get out the door without finding the key first. But it’s purpose is so someone can’t just break the glass if there’s panes in your door and open the lock from the inside. If they can’t open the door it makes it much harder to get large objects like TVs out of the house. They’re called double cylinder deadbolts.

You just put a mole grip on the end of the lock and knock it to the side the inside core will snap. I bet it's quicker than picking.

Looks like MUL-T-LOCK is cheating on their customers... as you noticed 6 vs 7 pins. I noticed same issue for MTL Interactive (5 vs 4 pin in pin - where 1 is actually just pin not pin in pin). And the most sad thing is that part with reduced security is side used for outside of door so part exposed to picking :-(
