17 Note Sliding Pattern

My lick of the week is this 17 note repeating sequence, because of the large and odd number of notes, it's hard to tell by listening where the lick is ending and repeating. Also makes it really difficult to do with a metronome because it gets displaced by one 16th note each time. Fun stuff, with the fast sliding!
I'm playing this old Jackson Reference 100 amp head I just scooped up on Reverb...it's definitely more of a 80's rock amp than metal, with that midrangey sound and gain. Sounds great for leads!

I genuinely don’t think you realize just how many people you have inspired to both pick up and put down their guitar

First time I seen anyone using that Hum Eliminator. Usually just see a Fuhrman of some sorts. lol A parallel Axis for the neck too. Hmmmm.... You ever F with a Sustainiac? Would love to see what you make of one.

It does a different thing, most furmans are basically just power strips, I do use a couple of their high end units though together, a voltage regular and a current reservoir...i forget the model names. But that hum eliminator is for isolating audio cables, not power plugs. I use a home made switcher all of my amps are connected to send my guitar through any amps preamp into any amps power amp and into any cab. The hum eliminator has 8 channels that put the amp input cables through isolation transformers on the way in, to kill the ground loops you get when so many amps are sharing grounds. Without it all the cabling forms basically a huge antenna for hum and its unusable. It's a solution for a very particular problem most people probably don't face, but its a lifesaver for me. There are also those humx 3 prong electrical hum eliminators as well, but those work totally differently. Yeah I have a guitar with a sustainer and an order in for a jackson custom shop that has one.

@@BrandonEllisGtr F ya. Appreciate your lengthy detailed reply. I know your a very busy important man. Greatly appreciate everything you do Brandon. Custom shop SIGNATURE with sustainiac? 🤔 Another 27 fretter? 🤘 There is a Jackson Wild Card I'm looking at currently, metallic blue with 27 and a classic single coil neck humbucker bridge configuration. I think another Indonesian but meh, some are really decent. Never played a custom shop to compare yet tho. I slow your vids way the fuck down to learn your weekly licks, but it just is sh@t sometimes. 'Bout to just join the shred-light dist for real. I need it at "Step Dad Speed" -Ben Eller 🤣🤘🧟‍♂️

@@julikb Just because you don't feel it, doesn't mean others don't. Try being a bit more open minded and realize different music resonates with others. There's an entire world outside your bubble, and once you mature a bit, you may realize that your feelings and thoughts aren't the be-all end-all. Grow up.
